I have an antique drop-leaf table and needed 16 inch wide seats to fit under the ends of the table. This is what I searched for and these came up. In the description it says the seat is 16 inches wide. They are not 16 inches wide and will not fit under my table. Because the chairs are very sturdy and the color, walnut, matches my table perfectly and it would be quite a task to send them back I have kept them. I just wish the measurement was correct.

We took a huge risk with these chairs, as we had already purchased our dining table, and I knew that the colors on the website, and the actual color can be different based on the lighting. Returning four chairs were going to be hard too (who wants to worry about carefully repackaging four chairs to ship back), so I knew that if we purchased it, we were stuck with it. Our dining table was a real neutral wood with no orange, yellow or brown undertone. The best way to describe it would be grey. So, we went with the grey chairs as well. We took the gamble and well, I was pleasantly surprised at how well they went together. You couldn't tell these were purchased separately from different retailers. Plus, it's got that rustic charm I was going for. What a great buy in the end !

We got 3 of the black chairs. Shipped quickly and were individually boxed. Chairs were fully assembled which was nice. Chairs are nice and sturdy and very comfortable. The black goes well with our reclaimed wood table

I love these chairs. One arrived with significant damage but Overstock sent a replacement immediately. I ordered the gray. They have a slight olive tone which I like. My other favorite feature is that these chairs have a higher seat at 18" than some of the other similar chairs. Our table is custom made, and even though it's beautiful, the legs are too high for most chairs. These help sit us up a bit more. I may still add chair pads to sit higher like we have hidden in the parson chairs.

I bought these chairs in "natural" and the color is beautiful in person. Amazing quality, especially for the price.

The chair is well made and sturdy. It is also comfortable and very comparable to the chairs found on popular/spendy websites. The gray option is tricky because it isn't well pictured on the site. I would say it is a medium to dark barn wood gray with a tinge of army green in it. It has a heavy white distressing. The distressing isn't paint, it is more of a plaster material. The plaster is thick at the hardware & corners but was easy to scrape off. It was also easy to take off the heavy distressing with a sponge. This piece is definitely heavily distressed, which may not work for all decors, so good to keep in mind. The chairs do have a strong odor at first but it did go away within a few days.

I purchased this chair in the "natural" finish which is a light oak with gray and golden tones. The chair isn't at all flimsy and is well constructed with nice hardware. The seat is firm and supportive without being too hard or uncomfortable. I've had 2 lumbar surgeries so I'm very particular about my seating arrangements. I couldn't rate the chair a straight up "5" because there were 2 flaws worth mentioning both aesthetic and don't appear to interfere with functionality of the piece. There was a place on the leg where the wood was split on the surface and reglued. I inspected closely and determined that 1- it wasn't visible and 2- the leg was solid. The second flaw was on the top front ladder of the chair where it looks like a chip occurred and was skillfully overfinished. Clearly the chair was a second but with a coupon the price was just too good and the chair too perfect for the small space (fits nearly flush against the desk when pushed in) for me to feel that it should go back. Overall I'm pleased with purchase!

The Gray Barn Windy Poplars Dining Chairs are perfect for our farmhouse table. They are strong and don't take up so much room. The gray color is nice with our gray brown white table. I would recommend these good quality chairs to anyone looking to give their kitchen table or dining table a little more dress up. They just need to be aired out due to the smell from the packaging.

These chairs are very popular and hard to come by!!! They disappear on every website almost as soon as they are in stock. They were exactly what I wanted and I got them at an excellent price too!! Very sturdy!! They didn't have the actual color that I wanted so I ordered the lightest ones (natural) and we lightly sanded them a bit and then stained them to the color that I wanted which was a chocolate brown. They look amazing!!! Great value and made well for a lighter weight chair. Love them!!

I am a little torn on leaving this review. The chairs themselves are beautiful and much better than the pictures represented online. However, as noted by other customers, the shipping left something to be desired. I had to follow up numerous times with overstock due to never receiving tracking (I received the tracking number post delivery) and the chairs were single wrapped with a very thin foam wrap that did not cover the whole chair in most areas which left them susceptible to damage. The finish was removed in a few parts which I've had to touch up with stain. The positive- the black finish is a more matte finish than represented, which is exactly what I was hoping for. These are really gorgeous chairs, the shipping issues just need to be worked out.

I've had these chairs for about a week. Upon opening the boxes, I was pleased to find no assembly was required, plus the chairs were well-covered in protective packaging. I bought the natural option which in my opinion is quite neutral; the manufacturer pics are accurate in color. The chairs are light weight and add an attractive contrast in my kitchen. In spite of the light weight, they are sturdy thus far, and I've experienced no wobbling even though my the tiles in my kitchen floor are not completely level (first-time DIY tile job). I highly recommend these chairs.

Love my chairs. I purchased 2 to go with my small 36 round dining table for my 1 bedroom condo. I chose 2 round back chairs to complete the set. I also ordered cushions for this chair because I didn't want the reed to stick or catch on clothes. The wood is a grayer shade than browner shade, but when you mix and match the wood colors it all looks really great together.

Finally a chair that doesn't scratch up my wood floor...woohoo! Great style and love the color. Just enough metal accents to keep it looking a little rustic. I would have given it 5 stars but the woven seat/insert isn't totally smooth so if you're bare-legged or wearing stockings, you'll feel the texture and maybe snag your clothes. I bought a couple of seat cushions just in case they're needed for guests in "finer" clothes. Really lightweight...I could easily lift two of these chairs in one hand... that said, they don't scratch up my floor when guests are scooting in/out. The legs already have nylon tips for protection as well. Worth every penny and would definitely buy again. Extra bonus that they come fully assembled and beautifully packed.

I love these chairs. They look great with my pine farmhouse table and the seat is actually very comfortable. Now for the cons... as mentioned in previous reviews the odor emanating from the chairs is very strong and smells like it can't be healthy to breathe. It took a good 2 weeks to dissipate. Also I didn't notice until after I'd gotten rid of all the packaging but one of the chair's leg had a large piece of wood about to break off. I remedied it with wood glue and a black sharpie but had I noticed it when initially unpacking I would have returned it for a perfect one. They also have a hard plastic disc on the bottom of the legs that I plan on replacing with something less hard to protect the floors.

When I ordered the chair I really didn't know what to expect. It looked great in the picture but you never know. When it arrived earlier than scheduled, it was packaged well but still had small scrapes on various edges ( I've never received any piece of furniture that didn't have marks on it from shipping). I used a sharpie for furniture to hide the scratches and it worked great. The chairs are well constructed, look beautiful and match my antique table beautifully. The seat has a kind of rattan covering, but it's just a covering over a padded, well supported seat. The chairs are lightweight, but really sturdy. I would highly recommend these chairs.

Surprisingly comfortable chair for the price. I got the grey that has a tinge of green. It works quite well in my French Country decor and is a good match with my Pottery Barn table. I am using these chairs as side chairs that can be pulled up for extra dining guests or moved to living area for conversation or pulled up to a card table to work a puzzle. Happy with my purchase. They fill the diverse role and look great. They are substantial enough to hold a large man but light enough that I can move rather easily and I am a small woman. My husband likes them and he is 6 ft weighs 190. You really can’t go wrong with these chairs.

This is a beautiful chair. I bought it in walnut as a desk chair because the wood coloring was so perfect for my desk. Because the desk is in my entry, it was important for me to find a chair that wasn't a swivel or that looked like an office chair. This was the best choice. It's super comfortable and I'm thrilled with the purchase. Packaging was exceptional and it arrived in no time! I compared prices over several stores and Overstock was hands down the very best price.

Beautiful rustic chair! Perfect for my dining room!

I have been looking for dining room chairs for months and finally decided on these chairs. So glad I did! They are a beautiful color,very sturdy, yet comfortable rattan seat and have gotten great reviews from everyone who comes over! I am giving them 4 stars as one chair's legs and seat pieces were not completely lined up underneath, so I hope that doesn't mean the chair won't hold up as well in the long run. I would definitely order them again; incredible chair at an even more amazing price!
