I needed a new sofa, so I decided to try out something a little more budget oriented this time. Because of that, my pre-purchase expectations were not very high. I received the sofa a few months ago but decided to delay posting a review in order to better convey the ownership experience. This sofa caught my eye because of the fairly low price (less than the *** it is usually listed at) and because they styling went fairly well with the room that was to receive it. The faux leather might be convincing to the eye from a distance, but you can definitely tell it's fake when you get up close. The cushions are soft and very comfortable, but in multiple spots, the leather is stretched too tight for the curvature of the seat cushions, creating air pockets between the cushion and leather, which, I'd imagine, also puts more stress on the seams in the seat cushion. The seams. I already have a two inch tear in one of the cushions where the stitching has come apart. This sofa has only had very light use for the few months I've owned it, and I'm the only person who has used it other than the occasional guest. The bottom section of the sofa is stilted on a thin horizontally oriented, rectangular frame that also serves the reclining mechanism. Despite that, the bottom section feels sturdy enough. The top section, however, is not so great. The top corners of the seat back can move one inch when the recliners are locked in the non-reclining position. Even as a light weight person, shaking my hips AT ALL when the seat is reclined causes the seats to sway with me, making it feel like they could fall towards the outside, away from the rest of the sofa. Overall, the construction is not very sturdy. One of my recliners, on the lesser (almost never) used side, has developed an issue where there is too much friction at a certain range in the reclining level. It feels terrible and makes the recliner want to stick in that position. The above issues are annoying for the owner, but I think most of the issues mentioned would slip past a house guest who happens to sit on your couch for a bit. I rated the sofa 3 stars overall, but I had to subtract a star for the third party delivery service that overstock is using. Beware of ***. They are the absolute worst. They told me to be at home all day waiting for delivery, but they no showed. I call their customer service dept. After 29 minutes of holding, they look up my order and tell me that the sofa hasn't even been delivered to my local distribution center yet. ***? I get another call telling me to be at home. Hooray for lost vacation days! 2nd attempt, no showed. After that, I spoke with an overstock CSR, and they were fantastic. They assured me that they would contact *** about the delivery and the *** had to deal with follow up with me, which they did. Maybe a week later, I get a random call while at work from someone wondering where I am, because they are out in front of my house, attempting delivery of the sofa. Third attempt, no notification. I speak with someone from the local distribution center and he assures me that the sofa will arrive on the newly specified date. On the fourth attempt, it finally arrives. They guy (yeah, only one) who showed up in the rental truck carrying my sofa was nice enough, even though he looked like a straight up bum. Guess who had to help him carry the practically destroyed box encapsulating my Coleford Black Double Reclining Sofa… I don’t mean to knock they guy, and I didn’t mind carrying it that much, but that kind of crap is ridiculous from a company that claims to offer “white glove delivery.” What a joke! The vacation days I lost for this stupid sofa were worth more than the sofa. Even if the sofa was free on overstock, it wouldn't have been worth the hassle.

Delivery was a little bit of a hassle, the actual date on the email is NOT when it will be delivered, that date is the date the company who does deliver it receives it. Love it, great buy, comfortable, love the reclining aspect, would recommend!

Very nice sofa recliner. Perfectly fit in our home at the Coast. Had a problem with the 3rd party delivery, but Overstocks customer service prevailed.

  • Very Satisfied

The shipping was Very fast (within 2 weeks of placing my order), and the company communicated well about delivery dates and arrival. I was concerned about the couch coming damaged, but it came in a box, which protected it well. Absolutely no damage at all. Very satisfied with shipping. The site states "assembly required", which entails snapping the back pieces together- Very easy. The reclining lever is not electrically controlled, its the older style, where you just pull it and the legs go up.
