Installation guide: door needs to be at least 1 inch wider and no shorter than the finished door opening you plan to cover; when mounting your sliding barn door hardware, 6 inch minimum is required between the top of the door and the ceiling. Track must be mounted to studs or header in order to provide sufficient support.
