These curtains REALLY do block the light. It looks like midnight in my room at noon and I love it! If I worked a night shift and had to sleep during the day, these curtains would be PERFECT for me to sleep well, like it was night. I love the change in my room! Cool, dark, and cozy!

I ordered two 84-inch pearl panels for one window. The label on the package suggested that the color is pearl GRAY, and the panels looked that way in the package. Honestly, though, when the panels are up to the window the color is a bit darker than the off white I expected, closer to the stone colored panels shown online or a warm sand color. (My picture, taken in the evening, shows the color relative to an off white ceiling, a bright white curtain rod, and sky blue wall.) The panels seem a little short, but I don't mind the length because there is enough coverage at the top and sides to keep light from showing around the panels. That said, these are not true blackout curtains as others pointed out. Morning light glows through the curtains. The main reason I got the panels was to deal with the intense light from a neighbor's front light at night. The panels do significantly help with that, so I'll keep them for that reason.

We've had a few challenges with this item, but it was more about Overstock than the curtain itself. They are pretty but they are NOT blackout. They cut light but they don't block light. In our home it takes things from street lights shining in like a spotlight to soft diffuse glow. Good enough to sleep but NOT blackout.

Some reviews are general so you will see the same review on a differnt product but I odered the sun zero Hayden black out curtains in red and black. The shop across the street has thoses large lights on the roof (3 of em) that shine into my bedroom window all night. There are fluorescent lights in the main walkway at these apartment going all the way down in front of your door that shine into the living room. These are going to put a stop to that. They are not the expensive crutains you have in fine hotels that block out light but they will do the job very well and what a price! They do not look cheap and will make the living room nice with the red accents I have already in there. Black for the bedroom because it needs more help. Get them before the price goes up!

These curtains are fantastic! We have 4 different sets in various rooms. They do a wonderful job of insulating in the summer and winter. They hang very nicely and feel quite sturdy. They have held up well to washing thus far, but are also very easy to spot clean (I have 3 kids and a large dog). The grommets slide smoothly over curtain rods and are very sturdy. I have been especially pleased with their ability to block out light. We had curtains in our bedroom before, but we sleep so much better with these behind those curtains to actually keep ALL of the street light out! 5 star product and if we need more curtains like this, we will definitely be looking at these exact ones again. The white ones we ordered have the blackout panel behind them, but the fronts are still crisp white

The Sun Zero Hayden Energy Saving Blackout Grommet Curtains 54” x 84” were heavy and of great quality for the price. I decided against the Grommet style and the Stone color that I chose, so sent them back.

These curtains are awesome! I got red and they were perfect in color. I started closing them on hot sunny days and it made a huge difference in my air conditioning bill, and the temperature of the room! I plan on doing the same this winter on cold windy days. The only negative I can see was that I had to order more than I had calculated as they tend to run on the thin side, meaning they look better when more panels are hung and they appear fuller. I also hemmed 2 panels to fit my doors and they were easy to sew. The large grommets slide easily on the curtain rod. They really block the light at night and sun during the day. I will buy more for other rooms and I recommend them to anyone who will listen, just buy double the panels you calculated.

Excellent quality blackout drape Panels. (The blackout quality is so good I've overslep many times.) The only reason I could not give them five stars is that the panels are rather narrow. I just ordered a second set of panels to completely cover the windows. Very attractive.

Ordered these panels to use as a privacy wall for a den which I use as a bedroom. Didn't want anything permanent like doors, so I ordered three panels. I am extremely satisfied. They will work prefect not to mention look great. I already have these panels on my windows. What I like is they are the same color on both sides which looks great. They are truly "blackout". I ordered the navy. I touched them up a little with an iron before hanging. They hang perfect; not to heavy and not to light.

My second time purchasing these draperies and I knew the quality of the drapery as well. My reason for purchasing these draperies in black fir my kitchen was it was always cold with the three large windows. I wanted something that will block the sunlight and the cold. I looked back at my purchases at Overstock and saw that I had purchased several blackout drapery and this was my choice. The length I had to go with was 107 inches but my window measured 96 inches. I didn’t mind the extra because the drapery was to be hung from ceiling and that little puddle wouldn’t matter at all. So, my husband installed the drapery and after sitting in the kitchen we noticed that the coldness was no longer presence. I ordered 6 pair of drapery by them being single pair I wanted the fullness in my drapery. I recommend this because I have them in my bedroom as well and it keeps the sun out and my room is always warm and cozy. I just purchased the Aurora drapery in black for living area and live that brand as well.
