"What is the actual max seat height taking into account the drop when you actually sit on it? I have a similar stool that is supposed to be 32.5" max sear height but it drops by 1.5" when I sit on it (I weigh 150lbs.)"
I absolutely love this chair! Looks fantastic in the photos but it looks even better in person, which is rare. Well built and sturdy. I am 6'2" and am pushing 220lbs and if fits me just as comfortably as it does my 5'4" 110lbs girlfriend. Would highly recommend this chair!!!

Perfect height for a 42 inch bar table. Also high enough for my 47 inch tall counter top. Sturdy , easy to build, comfortable, modern style. Wider than expected so measure your counter/table/bar top width to determine how many you should buy. I bought four ; 2 for my 60 inch wide counter top and 2 for my 50 inch wide bar top.

Much nicer than I expected! Hopefully I can revisit in a few months to see how they are holding up. Pros: I love the modern space saving low profile at my kitchen peninsula and the back that hides just above my counter height. Adjustable is very nice with my 80’s kitchen that isn’t quite today’s height standards and I haven’t been able to remodel yet :-) It turns very easily and not a huge chair pad to bunch up in the future I hope.. Decent size rubber ring on the pedestal bottom to protect my floor. My husband said it was a fairly easy item to assemble. Cons: 3x4 fabric government warning sticker on the beautiful wood bottom that doesn’t peel off nicely. I had to take goo gone and slowly take the layers of nasty glue off, not knowing if it would damage the wood. Not sure why this couldn’t have been in the package or on a tag. Not a con as this is silly.. my beloved iLife3 robot sweeper aka Alejandro gets hung up on the pedestal mount. But then when not chasing my dogs cleaning floors he gets hung up on a few other things too...lol. UPDATE 2.5 months later. They chip the wood very easily. It is just two adults in our home, we are careful when exiting the stool. If it just swivels slowly on its own and bumps the counter edge it chips off the wood veneer. I love that when you sit down the shock adjusts the height on them a bit. However this makes about 4 inches of ugly white looking chips to look at this point bummer. I’m looking for a stain stick to cover it as the stool is otherwise well made, adjustable and comfortable. We get tons of compliments until our friends see the chips. It need some to come with a stain stick so that whenever the veneer chips you can color the plywood. 😉 stars reduced to 3 because. OF chips.

Still love after almost 2 years....
Love the look and quality of these bar stools, they are very comfortable to sit in. Even after 1.5 years they still look fantastic. These were a perfect compliment to my rustic-modern decor. I highly recommend if your into unique pieces.
