So, I bought this because one time when my son was about 3, we were at a local festival. There was live music playing, the smell of fried food wafting through the air, beautiful weather....totally picturesque. I picked him up and started to swing him through the air, just like this statue, until I hit a root in the ground, lost grip of his hands, and ended up just like... flinging him through the air, in front of a large group of people. He was fine, but we laugh about how horrible of a parent I looked like to this day and this little statue always makes remember that story and smile. There's a small piece of felt-like material on the bottom that came unattached right away but a spot of glue fixed that.
I needed a double gift for our daughter, (2 states away) and time was running out. I decided to try ***, who had saved me before. When she was young her Father had promised her a horse, when he graduated from college. With 5 children that never seemed to happen. Looking under HORSE I found a lovely selection of statues and they could we shipped directly! I picked one. It arrived on time and she loved it! It did not arrive for her father's graduation but it did for hers!
As soon as I saw this sculpture I thought of my son and his family. He has a lovely wife and two beautiful children. Addison, 7 years old and Jake, 4 years old always reach up to hold hands with their parents. They have a wonderful bond and you can see it when they're together. This sculpture depicted their relationship so well. I gave it to my son for Father's Day.
