Craft a classic look in your kitchen or bathroom by installing these white hex porcelain mosaic tiles as a backsplash or wall covering. Set and connect the tiles with ease thanks to the mesh backing on each tile, which ensures proper pattern alignment. Use the tiles outdoors or in misty bathrooms without worry knowing the porcelain construction absorbs less than 0.5 percent of water. Enjoy the high sheen glossy glaze of these tiles, which creates a uniform appearance across all of the tiles installed. Use the tiles as flooring in high-traffic areas or for wall coverings in any space. If pairing with other products in our Victorian Hex series, please consider that all formats and thicknesses may not be the same.

    • Nice tile, but takes a long time to install

This was my first tile job and, in hindsight, it really insn't a beginner's product. Of the three boxes I bought, two were perfect, and one had eight out of ten sheets with blemishes. Although disappointing, it was easy enough to pop those tiles off the backing and replace the spaces with other tiles. I used 1/4" cement backerboard with grid lines, white mortar, and grey unsanded grout. The result is lovely, but it was so much work. The mortar seeps through the mesh, which all has to be dug out, tile by tile, prior to mortaring. The grey mortar was a good choice; it shows contrast with the white, but doesn't emphasize the occasional unevenness of grout lines. Having backerboard with inch lines helps a lot, but it is still very easy to get unevenness when joining two sheets. Cutting tiles with nibbling tool worked well. I tiled a very small bathroom. I lifted the toilet and tiled underneath which left the flange too short. I did call a plumber to reset the toilet. He used both a flange extender and a jumbo wax ring. All in all I'm pleased with the result, but the work and expense has been much more than I anticipated.

    • tile is exactly as described!

My husband installed the tile and said it was not at all difficult. We wanted a few scattered snowflakes on the bathroom floor and ordered the the white snowflake (1 box), same description, same manufacturer. The white of these tiles looked more of an antique white. So we cut out the snowflakes and cut the same pattern in the all-white tiles and dropped the snowflakes in the white tile. It was easy because of the mesh backing. Since we only used seven of them, it was not very time consuming. It looks fantastic!! We couldn't be happier!

This porcelain mosaic tile was exactly what I was in search of. O.com not only had the tile itself, but it was in stock & ship ready - in fact, it arrived in 1 day and the shipping was a bare minimum for the entire order. I had to order extra boxes of the tile after the fact, and everything matched! Thank you for a beautiful product!

There are plenty of ways to be period accurate, or differentiate your hex tile project from "the masses," but there's also an entire industry which is capitalizing on the "period" look resurgence, with excessive pricing to match. This is a rational entry level product which provides an economically and visually sound result for the common man. Fit and finish were excellent, and if your sub-surface prep is up to snuff, you can get a professional level DIY result without the wallet pain of higher-priced alternatives. We chose a consumer available epoxy grout product in a beige color for good contrast with the white tile, and had no difficulty cleaning the grout haze from the finished tile surface. The final result has excellent feel under feet, is easy to clean, and isn't too slippery. Radiant floor heat doesn't hurt any, either . . .

These tiles are so elegant and unique. We used them on a floor, I would probably not do that again but that may have had more to do with my installers than the tile!

Came packaged very well. Happy with quality. Was fairly easy to install. We installed in small bathroom covering area of 6x4 over existing in good condition ceramic tile using pre mixed quick set. Would recommend.

    • Great tile, consistent backing for ease of install
      Verified Purchase

We laid the tile with a white grout. This was a bit of a communication breakdown. The product has consistent spacing and could really use a light gray to medium gray grout (depending on the surrounding decor). Bright white is good for hiding imperfections in the spacing, but that really wasn't needed. GET. Good Enough Tile.

    • Great Tile Choice

We remodeled a guest bath and wanted a turn of the century look. The 1” hexagon tiles did just that. We removed 6 of the white tiles and added black 1” gloss tiles to make a flower pattern. We did this at random to avoid a uniform look. Not sure if you want to try this type of tile if you've never tiled before. We had them installed. I will use them again on the next project.

    • These tiles are perfect to bring back old charm!
      Verified Purchase

The tiles are great if you want to bring back old charm to your kitchen or bath. However, if you have never tiled before (like us), this may not be the tile for you! We retiled two small bathroom floors and the first bath took us two days just to dry fit the tiles. We found that if you are having trouble getting the tile to align with another tile that using a little force and stretching the tile mesh seems to help. The second bath was a piece of cake compared to the first. Love, love, love the final outcome! Well worth the time!

I love these penny titles. In my opinion they are the only flooring tile that never gets dated. It’s a timeless option and will be using in all my bathroom Reno’s. I chose gray grout.

I really like this classic tile because of the finish. I would describe it as a luster finish instead of a gloss or matte. Not slippery at all. I put these in our hall bathroom with a gray grout.

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"Are there any single sheets or loose tiles available? I think I'm going to be slightly, very slightly, short of what I need."

      • A:

Unfortunately, this product is only sold by the case.

    • Q:

"I wanted to use this in a bathtub/shower as a tile wall. Is this tile okay to use in a shower, in terms of not absorbing too much water? Thanks!"

      • A:

As long as a tile is installed properly, and the background construction and shower pan are adequately waterproofed, it will be fine in a shower.

    • Q:

"3 questions: Is there a matte version available? How thick in mm is the 1" tile piece? Can I order a sample 1/2 sheet? Thanks!"

      • A:

The one inch tile is approximately 25.4 mm thick. Unfortunately, we currently do not offer sample sheets for this set. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    • Q:

"considering buying this tile, and using the victorian hex light green tiles as trim/border. it looks like there will be a difference in finish, no worries, but i need to make sure they are very close to the same size. can you confirm? it is this item and item #15009864. The dimensions and specs on this item have two different measurements, and the green ones don't describe it the exact same way"

      • A:

Hello Revjim, both this tile and item # 15009864 are 10.25 inch x 11.75 inch x 0.187 inch tile and both come with 10 pieces per case which equals 8.54 square feet. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • Q:

"The description does not indicate whether these are matte or glossy finish. Can you provide that information?"

      • A:

Hello Lucy, these are glossy. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    • Q:

"What is the spacing that is preset between each tile piece? In victorian times tiles were about 1/16" apart so there was hardly any grout line. I am looking to put these in my historical home but hate to pay for custom tile to be placed at 1/16". I am afraid in a guest bath the grout will overtime get dirty looking sealed or not. I hate that these look so far apart. It appears they are 1/4" apart. Can anyone confirm that please?"

      • A:

Hello threefinger, the spacing between each mosaic piece is approximately 1/8 inches. Depending on the level of traffic, the grout lines should be fairly easy to maintain. Thank you for shopping with us!

    • Q:

"Pack of 10 cover how many SqFt?"

      • A:

Hello moonie14, a single box of 10 covers 8.54 square feet in total. I hope this helps!
