At first look at the Alpine Corporation 34" Tall Outdoor Solar Powered Lantern with LED Lights and Shepherd's Hook Garden Stake I thought this will be a great accent in my garden. It is a nice overall but it has a few drawbacks. It is a lighted outdoor décor piece and has a flickering motion LED light that is powered by solar energy. But it doesn't seem to hold a charge very long. And the placement of our lantern is in direct sun for most of the day. The rustic design of the lantern is a nice look in the garden. It seems to be pretty durable metal and plastic and seems to be pretty weather-resistant. It doesn't give off a ton of light. It's a slight glow. Maybe if you add multiple lanterns it would create a brighter display. All in all it has a nice look, but I don't know if I would recommend it.
Even though I feel this lantern light isn't very bright, I do love the subtle ambiance that it brings to my outdoor living space. There is an off/on button on the bottom you have to turn on for the solar panel to charge during the day. After that, nothing else is needed. It comes with a hanging garden stake shepherd's hook, but I love the look of it just on my patio table. I highly recommend!
There is almost zero assembly. Just putting the hook/stale together. Then putting the lantern onto the hook. All done. The lantern auto comes on at dusk. The candle feel and look is distinct and nice. A great addition to our front garden.
This solar lantern is absolutely gorgeous. The way the candle flickers with that flame/fire look. Placed at the steps of my pool deck and it fits perfectly. The shepherds hook is a little thinner than others I have used but it is very sturdy. Cannot wait to put more of these around the pool.
I was excited to get the lantern with the Shepherds hook, however I was disappointed because the quality was not great. The Shepherds hook is very flimsy, and easy to bend, so when you push it in the ground it moves and bends, so you have to be careful when doing so. The lantern looks cheap, the plastic handle that hangs onto the hook makes it look even more cheap. The hook should be thicker and maybe some type of ring instead of a strap, it wouldn't look that bad.
I love this alpine Outdoor solar powered lantern. The finish is really eye catching and this lantern makes a great addition to my garden. I put it in a part of the yard that is really dark at night away from the house lights, and it really lights up beautifully. I will be getting more for other parts of my yard.
This lantern looks so good near my porch. It looks like a real candle when it glows. It gives off enough light to find your keys in the dark. It looks so stylish and I absolutely love it!
The Alpine Corporation 34" Tall Outdoor Solar Powered Lantern with LED Lights and Shepherd Hook Garden Stake is a nice addition to our backyard. The lantern has a soft glow at night and charges up during the day. The shepherds hook (included) is easy to put together. I recommend this product and im happy to display it in my yard.
I love this LED solar powered lantern I put it outside by my fire pit. It when early into the ground its very sturdy. It flickers like a lantern also. It was very easy to put together just screw the pieces together and stick it in the ground and hang the lantern onto the Shepard hook. Then press the on button and let it charge in the sun and it will come on when it starts getting dark. You have to make sure you put it where there is direct sunlight or it won't charge very well. Its very simple and very nice. I plan on getting a few more for my yard.
