Chairs are inner weaved with both light dark brown resin wicker that seems to be weather proofed. Nice looking, solid, having a seating pad that's a bit stiff, but works. Liked the first two so much, I bought a couple more.
If you're looking for outdoor luxury, might want to skip this piece but if you want something fairly comfortable, lightweight, affordable, not a stain-magnet and you're sick of the faux wicker outdoor furniture that's ubiquitous, this is a great purchase. I was looking for something that's light enough to put in the shed in the off season, didn't need to be maintained like wood and was a dark enough color to keep me calm when my kids are on it. Furthermore, it was pretty easy to put together and comfortable enough to catch a summer nap on. The two glaring cons are that the sections need something to hold them together, like cable ties, and the cushions like to slip around which you might be able to fix with Velcro or non-slip padding underneath.
As many other reviewers have noted, the actual unit is smaller than anticipated, based on the photography. It's not unattractive or too small, just smaller than expected. Apart from that, the piece is comfortable and sturdy enough for casual use. I do have a few more serious reservations, though; first, the cushions are either not waterproof or insufficiently waterproofed. They are quite absorbent, and if these are used outdoors, brace yourself for unusable wet cushions. Second, there is no way to secure the cushions to the sofa. This is not such a big problem with the seats, as they wedge in to the sofa. However, the seat backs are light and loose, and fly away at the first stiff breeze. This is problematic for me as I am using this furniture on a sixth-floor terrace; if those fly down to the street, at best they're lost, at worst I'm looking at a lawsuit. I've already tried Velcro, which won't work, as the glue backing will not adhere to the fabric. I think I'm going to have to open the seams and insert ties that I can then tie to the wicker frame. It's an awful lot of work, but there's no better way to use these that won't require me removing the cushions and bringing them in after every use.
This set is lightweight, yet sturdy. It is very sharp looking. The cushions are a deep, almost taupe gray. More gray than taupe. My biggest reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the online measurements said it was 80" long each side. I have an exact spot for mine and was counting on that measurement. It is actually 81.5" long and goes over my door jam, preventing my pool bathroom door from opening. Another downside is there are no clips to hold the pieces together. I could zip tie them I guess. They are light and easy to move around though, so that is a plus. When wet swimmers have come by the set, water beads up and does not seem to penetrate the fabric. Ours is under cover, but outdoors, so I cannot speak to it braving the elements. The cushions are firm, but comfortable. I do with the included table was square. Being rectangle does not make sense because the sectional is equal lengths on both sides. The product came quickly and was relatively easy to assemble. One side couch seems to have been opened before and was missing a protective packaging piece, which in turn caused the aluminum to bend, making that piece hard to assemble. I figured it out (it was the first one I did, thankfully, so I didn't realize what was wrong) and the other pieces were packaged correctly. Overall, watch length if it is a tight squeeze, like mine. But this is a sharp looking set that is sturdy and comfortable for the price.
