I am a 61 y/o woman with back problems living in *** . I have a large gas powered snow blower but it is difficult for me to maneuver. I decided that I would try the SnowJoe electric snow thrower SJ623E due to the price, size and the fact that it is electric. This past weekend we had 6 inches of snow. I took my SnowJoe out of the box, tightened the 4 t-bolt knobs, inserted the lower chute crank (attached it to my outside extension cord) and I was good to go. It was easy to use and I cleared off my front porch as well as my driveway with ease. I was happy to be able to remove the snow without lifting a shovel. For deeper or heavier snow, I may need to go out during the storm to remove the snow more than once as I fear it may hurt the engine of I don't. So far, I love my new SnowJoe!!
It does not handle wet snow. I tried it for the 1st time during a heavy wet snow. It did not handle the snow. I snowblowed inches and the entire shute was caked with snow and stopped working. I'm sure it would work fine on light fluffy snow.
Snow Joe is a very nice electric snowblower! Extremely easy to use and has very good snow throwing power. I enjoyed how easily it goes thru sidewalk and driveway snow with ease. I found this blower not difficult to maneuver or lift at all, and totally helps get the snow removal done in about half the time of when I was using a shovel. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
