    • We love this snow blower!
      Verified Purchase

We have never had a snow blower before and have lived in the upper midwest most of our lives. We didn't want something bulky and didn't want to have to keep buying and storing gasoline for a traditional blower. We live in town on a corner lot with sidewalks and a cement pad in back of our garage. This blower did an excellent job of clearing the snow. The first time I used it I was amazed. In less than ten minutes I had made two passes to clear the width of the sidewalk. My husband did the garage pad and the area that the snowplow had piled up chunks of snow. The blower did a great job. Then my husband tried it on packed snow after the wind had blown and traffic had tramped the snow down. It did a good job on that too. It is not very wide, but that's okay - I'd rather do two passes than fight with a large bulky machine. It is light and is perfect for in-town use. We haven't tried it on a wet heavy snow yet, but I think if can do the walks before the snow gets too deep, we'll be fine. I highly recommend it.

    • the BEST!

A littjle expensive (I bought an extra battery). But a wonderful solution for my needs. I am a 70+ woman and can handle this machine EASILY. Had no trouble with the minor assembly. Did 90 foot driveway and 60 foot sidewalk without the battery running out of chsrge. (Snow was 3 inches deep and dry and fluffy rather than wet and heavy) I feel so much more independent with this machine.Go for it, you won't be sorry.

    • Works Good
      Verified Purchase

This snow blower is easy to assemble, starts easily and is very lightweight. I only had a chance to use it on about 4 inches of light snow. It cleared my 2 car driveway, sidewalk and walkway to the house on one charge, in about 20 minutes. It also removed about 2-3 inches of iced over snow the county snowplow left at the end of the driveway. I am satisfied with it but feel it could use more power and be built with stronger materials. The machine itself doesn't feel very sturdy, which makes me wonder about its longevity. I like the electric chute control but I would have liked a manual option too, just in case it stops working. I know this is new technology for a snow blower but I think its price **** over priced. The price would be justified if it came with 2 batteries or if it could be used either corded or cordless. On the plus side, it is electric, cordless, and lightweight. It's convenient to use and there is no need to worry about gas or oil and it's virtually maintenance free. It is easy for women and seniors to use too. I'm skeptical about the longevity of it but I guess I find out. In hindsight, I would have purchased the 15 amp corded electric and saved myself *** dollars.

I have a electric SNOW JOE and it works great, but wanted to have one that didn't need the cord. I saw iON SNOW JOE and thought that would be perfect. It works wonderfully and no cords. I have SUN JOE cordless mower, so I have two batteries if need for the job.

    • Battery Powered Snow Blower
      Verified Purchase

The snow blower was easy to assemble. If there are any issues with assembly there is a Video by Snow Joe that walks you through it. The snow blower works well on the normal snow in the drive way. It is extremely limited as to moving the snow compressed by the snow plows at the end of the drive way.

    • Nice little machine
      Verified Purchase

We bought this because both my husband and I were tired of tripping over cords with the other Snow Joe we have. This little machine works great. Love the easy grip handles for pushing it. The wider wheels make it easier to get through snow drifts. Battery life is great as I did both mine and my neighbors driveway and sidewalks. It still had charge left in the battery. My only negative is that it doesn't have quite the torque that my corded snow Joe has, but I like it and it's super easy to use.

**Have no used with snow yet, I will update once it snows a couple of times.** A very good buy! Out of the box to ready to go in a few minutes, simple controls, lightweight and quiet. All top of my list and all checked off! Easily adjust where the snow goes as you work with the toggle switch which is located right there at the top with the other controls. Light switch is there too. Light points right where you are working and is rather bright. Not quite a whisper quiet, but it really is as near to silent as a snow thrower can be. just a gentle whir and hum. Maneuvers with ease. Large wheels for easy rolling and pivoting. The battery charges up rather quick. I have strapped the handle in the on position and left it running for about 20 minutes (give or take a few) and it barely seems to have drained any of the battery. Was able to charge her back to full in just a bit longer than I ran it for.

    • Not impressed and really poor packing job!
      Verified Purchase

We bought this last winter living in Buffalo where we get pounded. Our previous winter was HELL and we shoveled several times a day all winter long. We got feet and feet of snow. In November of 2014 we got so much snow in some areas peole's roofs were caving in, people died. It was crazy. I had enough but we didn't have a lot of money and the reviews on this were decent. It can easily be handled by someone who isn't strong to get the job done. I have yet to use it or any snowblower for that matter but my husband wasn't impressed. He said it was much better than shoveling but if you have several inches or fee, this paddle style isn't going to cut it. This is more for a dusting or a couple inches of that non heavy wet snow. The battery also does NOT last nearly as long as they claim it will. We also have a different branded lawnmower and weed whacked that also have rechargeable lithium ion batteries and they don't last as long as they claim either so I'm not sure why the companies lie about it. My biggest complaint about this thing is the manufacturer's way of packaging it. You can see there is a foam handle wrap on the machine. We got it and I immediately noticed it was dented very bad and had a tiny tear in it. I complained and Overstock replaced it and the replacement was even worse, it was torn right through to the metal and flappy. I paid closer attention this time and when I unboxed it I noticed they have it sitting directly on a piece of plastic edge so the whole time it's being shipped all over the country and other boxes placed on top it's rubbing and tearing it. They need to put a piece of cardboard or styrofoam or something in between to prevent this. I am contacting the company about it to see what they can do because Overstock isn't going to keep allowing returns based on this since it isn't their fault, it's the company itself and a poor packaging job.

Ok.. first of all this is alot better than a shovel. Less stress on your back. That being said, I would've gone for a more expensive model with ALOT more power. This is my very first time using it and I'm charging the battery for the 3rd time. .. and whoever said that it takes on 40 minutes to charge is lying. It takes over 2 hours to recharge but less than 3 hours so about 2:30 to be fair. I charged it at 4 and it's now 6:03 and it's still not fully charged I'm sure though that it will be fully charged before 7pm. Anyhoo we got hit with snow here in New York and I was more than happy to finally have the chance to use this snow blower. Well let me tell you, unless you have less than 8 inches of snow, this thing will continue to conk out. It conks out because when too much snow gets caught underneath, it gets stuck and the blades won't turn. I have to keep shaking it as I push this thing along so that the snow will spit out and the blower won't conk out on me. It does an ok job moving the snow along when it does, not the greatest or not bad just ok. We live in a Condo and we have parking in the back. Normally the Condo Board has someone to plow back there but for some reason they weren't able to today so I took it upon myself to plow the back. Well this will be my 3rd attempt at removing the snow. I'm almost done in the back. Not 100% but enough for the cars to get in and out without getting stuck ( real plow would've been waaaay better). So unless you have enough Ummph to push this thing along I would suggest looking elsewhere. It's now 6:11pm and the battery is fully charged ( 2 hours 11 minutes) . I just came from down stairs and after 35 minutes the battery conked out. So the battery only last for about 30 to 35 minutes. I was able to clean up the rest of the snow the best I could but like I said it took 3 times to finsih it all up. I wouldn't reccommend this snow plow at all.

Lightweight, quiet battery powered snowblower. Won't wake the neighbors, no need for extension cords. Handles 4 inches of wet snow, 8 of powder. Battery life approximately 45 minutes depending on snow conditions. Purchased a second for relatives.

We live in Wisconsin. I drive a truck and my wife can never get the gas blower started so I got this for her. Works really good, super light weight. It won't clear the end of the driveway after the plow dumps a ton of snow but my gas one struggles with that as well. Good power for battery operated with motorized chute which I didn't even expect.
