My primary reason for purchasing the Power Pressure Cooker is that I hade been using my Presto Aliminum pressure cooker at least twice a week and it was getting "pitted" on the inside and food was sticking and burning. The electric model simply cooks better and I have been able to adapt my favorite recipes easily. My only complaint is that the gasket retains the odors of the foods I've cooked and I haven't figured how to clean it so that they don't remain. Also, building pressure takes longer than with a stovetop cooker. I love using this appliance.
