Beautiful cabinet that's very easy to put together. Was concerned about the gap between the doors but adjusting the hinges helped significantly.
Weighty piece is stable which works as I am using the cabinet as a record player stand. Both shelves are perfect for storing albums. After changing the door handles it melds in with my mid century modern furniture as I had hoped. Expect to get a lifetime of use from this well made cabinet.
The instructions and parts labeling were confusing. It took me and my friend 8 hours to put it together. We had to widen or clean predrilled some holes with a dremel drill. We also needed a couple of different screwdrivers. There are 4 hinges and I don't recall the exact number of screws, but I used at least 24 screws just to attach to the doors and cabinet. The doors are level but there is a 1/2 inch gap between them. My son tells me that I can adjust the hinges so that there will be no gap. I am so tired of putting it together, I'll let him do that next time he visits. I was going to upload a photo taken with my phone, but my image lacked the requisite number of pixels.
The details on the cabinet doors are great, however the quality of the cabinet itself is poor. Gap between doors, and cabinet became wobbly after only a couple of months.
This Messina cabinet has amazing storage, I really wanted a wood statement piece that I could also store plates/silverware in and this was it. It was true to color and size, it was the perfect fit for my dining area. It took no time to assemble, which was also a plus.
