This item is extremely poor quality, the fireplace is not working, the remote is not working, extremely poor quality customers service I finally got repairmen to come and take a look, he was in the past able to fixe/repair anything I asked but stated this item is beyond repair. Too heavy and to complicated to retur, I will just take a loss I promised myself I will never buy from Overstock, it is always terrible experience
Overall I would recommend this TV stand. I used it for a 70" TV. Shipping was fairly quick (less than a week) and all boxes came on the same day. For the most part the instructions are fairly straight forward. There are a couple areas that were not very clear, but I was also tired when I put it together. Pay special attention to installing the doors. There are special "screws" on the hinges that adjust the placement of the door. You have to play around with these a little to get the doors just right. Also, to open the fireplace to add the clear rocks, you have to also unscrew the silver screws on the side - the instructions do not say this. It took me about 3hrs by myself (125 lb woman) so it takes some time but it's not too difficult. The fireplace brightness has 3 colors and 5 brightness levels. The white light around the tv stand is pretty but bright, and not adjustable- but you can turn it off. I did not give 5 stars because the instructions were only 85% clear and the doors were tricky.
