Doors are the thinner glass at 1/4"thk but that is not an issue. The doors tend to rattle when sliding them and I also don't like the plastic off white cloudy seals located at the door centers and ends of the doors. The seals doesn't really show up in the pics but it is apparent when they are up in your bathroom. The seals for whatever reason are giving a blueish tint I believe its picking it up from the ends of the glass. I ordered the nickel finish and it looks nice but the slider hardware on the top and bottom of the door are chrome and is noticeable difference in material. Also their is a frame that goes completely around the assembly so I don't get how they can advertise that these as "frameless" doors. I only purchased these doors because I needed the center opening and these are the only ones I could find without going to a custom glass installer. Price is about right for what you get and not bad. My contractor told me he had to install differently than stated in installation instructions so think things through before you start assembling. I coated the glass with Rain-X and it keeps the streaking down to a bare minimum without having to clean the glass after every shower. I would purchase again giving the lack of other options.
I bought the Vigo Frameless .375 door about 2 months ago. The door looks great, but I noticed after 3 weeks using my renovated walk in shower, the bottom metal where the shower door rests it started to rust. I did reach out to technical support. The tech. told me that I should be wiping down the all the time I take a shower which this a bit crazy because I have other family members that are using the shower. I understand that I should be wiping it down and I am trying to do this but it very tiring. I feel that this expensive and good quality item should be rustproof and waterproof. I could understand if I had these doors for years but that is not the case. BTW: The tech did offer me to send a replacement part but I could not be able to change the metal because the doors needed to remove and reinstall the doors which the installer had a difficult time to install.
We immediate chose these after viewing a display at a big box store. We didn't want the sub-par, junky plastic shower doors our parents have. These are impressive. A bit of a booger to install, but gorgeous.
We love our shower door! Sleek, modern design was exactly what we were looking for. Only downside would be related to the installation. We had to hire a separate contractor to install the door, which took about 3 hours.
