Safavieh Polar Shag Bibi Glam Solid Polyester Rug

Beautiful rug! We purchased this Safavieh polar white 8x10 area rug (our 3rd rug from them) and it works great for the true white we wanted! Just what we needed! However, We're going to order the pad next bc that rug is a little thinner than we expected it to be! I wanted the Santa Monica shag bc we purchased the runner in white for our hallway and feel in love..but the 8x10 was out of stock, we decided to try this one because it looked so plush! I was going to send it back bc it was a tiny bit to fluffy but after trying it we just love it! It's the perfect shade of white and it is so so soft!! Love it! It vacuums fine and doesn't shed like I thought it would! I recommend purchasing the pad if your using this for hardwoods! It's beautiful! I would have included my photos but I have no idea how to do THAT! Can anyone tell me how to include a photo with reviews? THANKS again Overstock *** .

I received the Safavieh polar shag white fluffy silken rug today. For starters, I am very pleased with the rug overall. I agree with some reviewers about the smell. It does have a light chemical smell, but based on the instructions, it is due to the wolven fibers and will dissipate in a couple of days. I have had no issues with the curling of the ends of the rug once I unrolled the rug from packaging. It is white and very fluffy which was the look I was going for. Yes, I agree with some reviewers that the bottom layer is thin, but you really can’t tell unless you do a thorough inspection. My children already love it and continue saying how soft and cuddly the rug is. It serves it’s purpose, I got it for a discount and it goes well in our living room. My only gripe would be there were premise holes in the plastic of the packaging. Some of the fibers were sticking out of the holes and got dirty in transit. It does not come in a box...only in plastic. So I had to clean 2 very small parts of the rug which I feel I shouldn’t have had to do if the rug was packaged correctly. All in all, I am still glad I made the purchase!

I hesitated for over a year thinking I was really taking a chance on purchasing a shag rug online. You know, will it be soft or rough, quality unseen, etc. After researching and reading all the reviews, I decided to take a chance. SO GLAD I DID!! Watching the video was helpful because it truly demonstrated the soft texture. The texture of this shag is silky and the silvery tones vary from medium silver to light silver depending on the nap. This accent rug was over-laid on sand colored wall to wall carpeting, in order to define my living room area. I did not order the non-slip underlay because furniture holds the rug in place. There is NO odor, as many reviews have mentioned on shags. My dog & cat also love the rug and so do my feet-SO soft! I have a traditional, slip covered style couch and tho the shag is often described as contemporary, I can tell you how classy it looks! I was also pleased that it arrived TWO days before scheduled!! <- This was my initial review shortly after purchase, however, now I must add that after the first year's use, wherever feet repeatedly landed, (i.e. where you would sit on couch &/or chair) this rug matted and there was no coming back. Those areas look awful ow, tacky. We also had to purchase a low-volume, no beater vacuum so we could keep it clean. Can't take away it's softness and initial look, however, you will need to purchase something else if you want that 'look' to last. Also, if anyone has a technique I don't know about please say so. So disappointed....

I was not sure about ordering a rug on line because I wanted something soft. This rug is so soft and fluffy. I also had bad experiences with ordering gray shag rugs because they look like dirty mops. This rug is not like that at all! It is a really pretty silver color but not overly shiny. Looks beautiful in my office with a nice light ice blue color. Was exactly what I was looking for and could not find. Would be awesome with padding under it but I just have the non- skid pad and it is fine. Rolled out flat easily and no chemical smell (5x7 silver). Seems very well made. No shedding at all and this is pretty long shag. Also bought another Safavieh rug- Milan shag. That is awesome as well, but in a different way. Safavieh make amazing rugs!

I purchased this rug for my teen daughters bedroom and we both absolutely love it. I’m pretty much guaranteed to be happy with Safavieh rugs because the quality is always exceptional but this Polar Shag rug exceeded my high expectations. Soft and plush, true to color and a great value. I will be buying this same rug in several other colors for other bedrooms.

I figured for the price it would be worth trying. So glad I did. It's not as thick as the old one, but it nonetheless looks substantial. The color is a true, bright white (not at all beige), which is exactly what I wanted. Let's see how long that lasts! Slight odor naturally when I unpacked it but not at all detectable otherwise. Think I might even prefer this to the *** rug I had. Would definitely recommend without hesitation. P.S. I laughed when I read that the other reviewer purchased it for her closet. I purchased mine for my tiny NYC apartment living room.

Love everything about this rug. The size, color, and durability. My kids love that it's so soft. I would definitely recommend this rug to anyone. Colors were as shown online.

I am very happy with our purchase. There was no odd odor when removed from packaging and it only took about a day to lay flat on one end and was easy to "fluff up" where needed. It is sooo nice and soft on bare feet and is a "fluffy" shag that adds great texture to a room. The color is a very pale gray, and it doesn't have any blue cast to it at all, which is what I wanted. It's a nice, neutral, soft silver shade of gray that is NOT shiny and is neither warm nor cold in tone. So, it's an easy addition our color scheme. We purchased the 6'7 x 9'2 size and it was offered at a great price too. Highly recommend!

I purchased this rug for the front of my bed where I put a beautiful turquoise suede velvet bench. Perfect for making all the colors pop with its texture. This is not a high traffic area, so it’s perfect. I think it’s beautiful as a piece that will not see too much wear & tear or staining. Perfect for bedrooms & bare feet areas! Very soft & vaccumes easily. Great buy!

The perfect rug for my daughter’s room. It is exactly as described. The shag is pretty long, but vacuums beautifully as long as I turn the brush off.

I LOVE this rug!! Long, super soft, shag! So many compliments on it! I did find it’s super hard to vacuum, but high pile rugs are. I’ve found if I turn off the “rollers” on my vacuum and move the vacuum slowly, it does vacuum clean!

Got this for my daughter. The size and color were perfect for her condo. I loved it the way it was but she wanted a pad for it. Once the pad was down, you could sleep on the floor!

I LOVE THIS BEAUTIFUL RUG! I've had this since 2017 and I can tell you the wear is exceptional. My son had a red berry drink spill on it; came right out with a little dry resolve powder! I don't think any other carpet can stand up to that, plus being all plush, luxurious almost entirely white. Before I bought this, I was torn between this and the Sable (same company - can't lose) so I ordered a smaller sable and put it, in all places, the bathroom. This went through a lot of traffic of dirty little feet (vacuumed right up!) plus, I put it in the washing machine - front loader on gentle, and it came out better than new. However, the carpet manufacturer DOESNT recommend this, but I really wanted to test it for durability. From the looks of it, the underside of the carpet was a little disapproving, but it seems to have forgiven me as it's still looking brand new, even with the wear and tear of everyday use and my durability tests. I wound up going with this coloured as it matched where I planned to place it, and that's the one I'm referring to when I state how luxurious it is and how it stands up to wear and tear like nothing I've ever seen. Almost two years to the day and still looks brand new! I'll try and get a good shot of it today:

What a GLAM RUG! Both men and women give me compliments on this rug. It is in a guest bedroom and most of my guest want to stay in that room ...... it is the rug! You won’t be disappointed!

I bought the eight matching chairs as well as the bench for this set to go with the farmhouse table. It is beautiful, very good quality and well made. My grandchildren are with us alot and I don't worry about it at all! It is perfect for my country kitchen!
