Not what it seems
Just want to give others the heads up. I was looking for something to go with the polished masculine art deco feel to my bedroom. I was mistaken with this rug. The colors were spot on, and really nice. But... The grey part of this rug has no pile. It's like that thin industrial-like carpet that is put in cheap office buildings because it's easy to maintain. The tan/brown part has a somewhat thick pile to it, which kinda makes it even weirder, because the transition between the different thicknesses looks ragged and unfinished. It honestly looks like someone unraveled the carpet where the grey is, and you're now looking and walking on the backing of the carpet. It's also impossible to vacuum, since the colors are different thicknesses. Set your vacuum for the thicker tan part, and it doesn't suck up what's on the grey part; but if you set it for the thin grey part, your vacuum will try and eat the rug when it goes over the tan part. I've started to literally sweep any debris off the rug, and then vacuum the hardwood floors around it. Looks deceivingly decent from a distance, but up close, it's pretty cheap looking. I might expect something like this from a *** rug, but not a *** one.Read More
