Safavieh Milan Shag Maibritt Solid Rug

Great quality for the price. Rug is soft to the touch with a good shag pile. Milan shag is softer than the California shag if comparing rugs. Very happy with my purchase.

This shag rug is actually quite plush underfoot. I am placing it in front of an entry table, but far enough away front my front door that I don't need to be concerned about clearance. I have been very happy with all of my Safavieh rugs, that I have purchased from Overstock. As others have said, this rug is not solid grey in color. There is a consistent variation in color, due to the strands being twisted. I was pleased to see that this was true in my case, but if you are wanting a totally solid color, you won't get that with this rug. I bought a different Safavieh shag rug (the California Cozy), for another room and I am just as pleased with that one. Happy shopping!

...I liked my initial purchase so much I ordered a second identical rug a few days later. Now I have 2 matching rugs in the open concept living room. That saved a lot of work/thought trying to find another rug that would complement the original rug. "Milan" is a medium to high shag rug, ours is in ivory. My feet sort of sink into this rug a bit, a very soft, comfy feeling. (You will need to fluff it up once you open up the roll if it's shipped to you.) Looks like I spent twice or three times the price. Very good quality. I do not find that it sheds, and we have very dark wood floors so I would see it if that is happening. However, I do use the vacuum hose verses the standard base with beater bar/bristles and that is a bit time consuming. I am currently looking for a different style vacuum for shag rugs. This contemporized and updated the look of our living room. I thought I was not the shag rug type, but I am very happy I gave this rug a try. The whole place looks a lot lighter and brighter. The service by Overstock, and delivery was perfect as well. Happy customer.

I have purchased two Safavieh rugs in the past and have been very pleased with the quality. This rug surpassed my expectations! The color (Ivory) is exactly what I was hoping for, neither too white nor too beige. The rug was a tad bit larger lengthwise (an inch or so) than the 8 &1/2 by 12 feet I ordered but it actually worked better in my room. It is truly beautiful and feels like a cloud to walk on. Everyone who sees it loves it and comments about how soft and plush it is. This rug is not like a '70's "shag", but a modern, updated and stylish version. It is one of the best purchases I've made in the past few years - would highly recommend it.

I was very careful to look at the reviews before buying a rug. I knew I wanted a comfy shag in grey. My space has a lot of warm greys. Make sure to look what people are saying about the undertones of these rugs. Some are blueish, some very cool and silvery etc. This one is a medium grey. When I initially unrolled it, it looked to have a decent amount of silver neutral grey tone to it, however, once I "fluffed" up the rug, I saw a lot more warm, taupe grey to it. Works perfect for my space. My baby loved crawling around on it and laying down. I almost took a nap on it with her! Very soft. Comfy but sophisticated.

Absolutely LOVE this rug! I am very brand loyal because the quality of these rugs is unmatched. It’s pricey but fair for what you get. We previously had the Safavieh California shag in the same size, and loved that one. Unfortunately before we moved I decided to Rug Doctor the previous rug (pro tip - do not do that with these beautiful shag rugs), and later had to dispose of it. But we wanted a lighter color anyway so it worked for us. We upgraded to the Milan shag in the process based on reviews comparing the two, and would highly recommend this rug! It’s incredibly plush and soft! Fills our space perfectly.

The Safavieh Milan Shag rug is perfect for the bathroom like I had hoped it would be.. The color is exactly as shown and it is a plush shag. Love it.

I do love this rug that we literally just received, but I wouldnt dare call this a grey rug, but more taupy hues if not brown, or greige. The dog is black and white, the keyhole trellis rug is grey & whitish, the Milan rug is not grey, so why call it grey? Great rug though, but wish description matched the actual item. Funny thing, the photo on the website looked more brown to me, but the description said grey and reviewers also called it grey. UPDATE: 12/16/2017 Have noticed this rug is starting to get compressed in traffic areas even after being vacuumed and the twisted nylon is untwisting and not looking like it used to.

This is the thickest most beautiful shag I have ever touched, walked on, and seen. Price was right. Great for plush in bedroom. Not recommended for high traffic areas with white/ivory color and thick shag, but I bet it would wear well. Definitely great for plush luxury feel in bedroom. Shut off the beater bar on your vacuum because the rug is so thick it will jamb the rotating bar.

I purchased this rug because a friend of mine just received one. First off, Overstock is upping their shipment time game! I received it two days after I ordered it! Secondly, I have been hesitating on getting a rug because I have two fluffy dogs who track tons of nature from the backyard into the house. I couldn't tell by the picture if the whole rug was grey or it was a mix of white and grey threads. I took a gamble and it paid off. The rug is mixed with probably two different greys and one white thread, which really makes for hiding debris and stains. Plus it is super cushy, so much so that I now sit on the floor when folding laundry or hanging with the pups! I would recommend this brand and color.

I love this rug. I was a little afraid because there weren't too many reviews but I am so glad I purchased this. It is very thick and very soft. No shedding and no odor other than "new rug smell" that disappeared with a day or so. I have a thick rug pad under it as well. The only downside is that it is a little hard to vacuum. I have an older Dyson that doesn't really have a setting that adjusts to shag carpet. It doesn't get caught it anything it is just hard to push it forward because the rug is so plush. Definitely worth the money.

I decided to decorate my new townhouse in beach/ocean theme but was afraid to buy an area rug online because it's always a hit or miss with the true color (If you don't like it then it's a pain to roll up & and return.) Well this rug was a Big Hit. It came on time and was packaged very well (each end was covered with what looked like a cloth shower cap then it was wrapped in a heavy plastic) The color is beautiful, the thickness feels so good on bare feet and it laid flat as soon as I rolled it out. If you're looking for a great area rug don't hesitate. I will be ordering 2 more rugs from this company for my bedrooms. I recommend this product.

I just wanted to get something inexpensive that I wouldn't mind throwing away if my dog had an accident on it while she was sick. She didn't have one and I'm so glad because when this rug arrived I realized I would be disappointed if I really had to throw it away. It is by far the most comfortable rug I have ever had. I love walking on it and my dog loves sleeping on it.

I purchased this rug about 3 weeks ago. It's so plush! Everyone who visits my house wants to walk on in barefoot! Extremely soft. I love it! While the photo looks like a solid gray, it's more of a multi-gray tweed. But still a beautiful addition to my living room.

The shag on this rug was super cheap and after the first time over it with a vacuum it basically fall apart. As that happened the shag got on everything!

This is a beautiful true navy rug. It is the softest rug ever! It came so well packaged and very quickly. I ordered a square rug. It is a perfect square, true to the dimensions advertised. We love it! I may order more colors in larger rugs. I have vacuumed it with no problems at all even though it is extremely thick.

I have this rug in numerous colors. The quality is great. When you sink your fingers in, the feel is a nice full shag rug. Using for a nursery.

Great rug! Ours has run it's course after 4 years - with heavy traffic and big dog! It was a no brainer to just order another one now - so easy! Well worth the money!
