I laid it before I even got the pad to see how it looked and it lays beautifully and is soft. Can't wait to feel it once I get the pad. This one is 5x8. I also ordered a 4x6 for in front of the love seat. What a bargain! They'll keep our tootsies warm this winter and look fantastic on the hardwood floors. If you have any doubt about ordering, don't. I think they're great quality...especially at the price. I hung this outside for a couple of hours or so in case of smell and to unroll, not sure you'd have to because I didn't notice any smell but it did help to unroll it.

Thin, but exactly what I expected. Doesn’t need a pad on my tile floor. I am using it in my dining room, so didn’t want something too thick or shaggy, but it keeps everything from sliding all over the tile and looks nice. I would say it has a lot of grey undertones, and one end of mine is definitely lighter (more “distressed”) than the other. Also not really a purple, more a fuscia with mustard orange, navy, and teal. Nice rug and I do recommend.

I have become a rug person because of this rug. I purchased the 5x8; And I now have three more rugs coming from Overstock. This rug makes anything look great. It is big and beautiful and bright. When I change out the beautiful couch that I purchased to accompany it, on some date in the future, my beautiful rug will still be gorgeously waiting to make the newest furniture feel welcomed. I hugged the rug. Yup, that is how lovely this rug is. You can't go wrong with it's many subtle, but pops of color that make this one a stand alone stand out. Enjoy!!

I love this rug! The colors are perfect for my family room. It really brightened up the room. My sofa is gray and blends very well with it. I like that I could add colorful throw pillows that pick up the colors in the rug. When I first unrolled it, it was curled a little at one end. It flattened out in about a day. I have it sitting on top of carpet. So far, it stays in place. Because it's color is on the lighter side, pet hair is not as very visible. I would recommend this rug as an easy, affordable way to brighten up a room.

I am so happy with this rug. I had always had very neutral, zero-pile rugs because I have pets. When the time came for a new rug, I wanted color. The reviews of this rug say every different thing possible about the colors - brighter than pictured, lighter than pictured - but I was ready for whatever showed up. There is a huge variety of colors in the rug, but none are overpowering. Whatever you put next to it is the color you notice in the rug. The colors are not overly bright because of the lighter background. The print is distressed, meaning it has the look of time worn color in places. This is not a defect, but a characteristic of the print. Having pets, I thought this would be a benefit in the long run and after several months, I was right. It is low pile, but has a very nice feel underfoot when new. After a time, the pile crushes as you'd expect, but the rug is still comfortable and looks great. I like this rug so much that when another rug across the room had to be replaced, I bought the smaller version of this same rug. Coincidentally, when a friend of mine was looking for a new rug, she posted a photo of this same rug and asked where she could find one like it because she loved it. We had a laugh and I pointed her to Overstock. No wonder we are friends, we like the same thing. It is a very versatile design.

GREAT COLORS!
I have a deep purple kitchen wall with cream colored cabinets and dark brown granite. This pulls all those colors together --- I'm a retired interior designer! I ordered 2 of these for around my island and one 4' x 6' for the larger entry to the kitchen. The distressed colors hide dirt in this busy area. It looks great!!! and my older dog no longer slips. The same previous runner was accidentally partially melted when a too hot metal pot lid fell onto the rug! Good thing it did not burn the wooden flooring! No one was hurt!(:-)))) I will use that one in my utility room.

This is the third Safavieh rug I have purchased from Overstock and I love it for the bright pattern and durability. I've used the other two rugs in a rental property for the past year and they have held up very well to foot traffic and frequent vacuuming, as I'm sure this one will, too. Shipping was very quick and it arrived well protected in a plastic sleeve. This isn't the cheapest brand, but it is a worth the investment for the bright colors, on-point patterns and great durability.
