After looking at literally hundreds and hundreds of rugs, I settled upon the Safaveih Lyndhurst Floral Trellis Green rugs for our newly remodeled home. I ordered 2 of the 8x11's (one for the great room and one for the dining room) and one long runner for the hall. Because of reading so many reviews in so many places, I was fairly confident that the rugs would be very, very close--if not 'spot on'--to the kind of colors and pattern I was aiming for: a rich color and pattern that lends itself to looking elegant on the floor, without 'shouting' in competition to the decor it supports. I am happy to say that I was, indeed, 'spot on'. These rugs have a richness of color that speaks of elegance, and a pattern that is very calming and serene, while at the same time, acting as a 'framework' to connect the varying aspects of decor, such as the furniture, lamps, etc. As others has said, (almost in 'warning'), the colors are not like the pictures (thankfully :-), but are deeper and richer. The green is a beautiful rich olive/army green that I would consider almost a deep 'neutral' color, as it would match so many different decors. The 'red' is a deep brick color--more towards a deep burnt orange than a bergundy, or perhaps a blending of the two. And the blue is more of a heathered tone blue, which settles quietly into the border without calling much attention to itself at all--so don't be put off by the 'blue' aspect. The weight of the rugs is perfect: not too thin, not too thick, and I don't have pads under either of my 2 large ones (granted, there IS furniture on them) and the edges lie down perfectly, with no sliding on the wood floor. I did find it necessary have a runner pad beneath the 16' runner. However, I do credit my spouse for that, as he carefully unwrapped the rugs, then 're-wrapped' them in the opposite direction--starting at each end, in turn--in order to get rid of the curvature of being wrapped in a tube shape for so long. I have never (nor has anyone else) 'tripped' over the rug edges, and they are directly in the line of household 'traffic'. Not only are the rugs beautiful, they don't seem to show dirt or stains at all. We had guests over Christmas who brought w a 110 lb Akita and an 89 lb German Rottweiler--who, along with our three 'furry children' tracked in and out and played heartily on the brand new rugs--without a mark or stain to be seen. (If you haven't figured it out by now), I LOVE MY RUGS! They really, really made our house finally look like 'home'. Now, I'm going to order one more matching rug for the 'foyer' section of the large room...I just have to decide whether to order a rectangle, a round, or a square...but not matter the shape, I KNOW I am going to love it.
