Safavieh Hudson Shag Vitchka Glamour Trellis Rug

When I received this rug, I was blown away. It was so pretty and thick and soft. I patted myself on the back for such a great find at such a great price. Now 5 months later, it is looking awful. It is very difficult to vacuum because it is so thick. I had to purchase a carpet rake to really get the dirt out because stuff just sinks down. I have a dyson vacuum and I could not run the roller because it would just get stuck. Have to use the 4" wide spinning brush attachment to feel like anything is getting picked up. It has also faded badly. This rug gets no direct light so I can only assume this is from walking on it. Where my ottoman sits, it is much darker underneath. This rug also mats. Even after using a carpet rake and shampooing, it just looks so really frayed and matted. I feel like I have gone above and beyond to keep this rug looking nice but after 5 months of owning it, it looks more like 5 years old.

This rug is perfect for my living room! It is so plush and comfortable, and the colors are exactly as shown in the pictures. I highly recommend the Safavieh Hudson rugs in any color and size!

Safavieh Hudson Quatrefoil Glam Shag is so Plush and Rich Looking. When walking on this Shag it's so soft and Thick to the touch and on your bare feet. It's made so well that I plan to buy more for the Rest of my home. I would give this Product SAFAVIEH HUDSON QUATREFOIL SHAG a solid 10 if I could.

This is a very nice rug. We've had it for about 2 months now. It seems well-constructed. It only took about 2-3 days before the rug sat flat against the floor. There isn't a no-slip element to the back. There was a slight chemical smell to begin with, but I think that's going to be for most rugs. The smell was gone after a day or two. Just a word of warning (or on a positive note- which ever you're after!)- The pile is VERY tall! It's like a real-deal shag carpet (maybe even taller than the average). It can be a bit of a bear to vacuum, and we've momentarily lost little plastic doll parts in it! Crumbs also seem to fall into the forest of carpet. But, my goodness it feels so good on my feet!! I have bad feet problems, and this rug acts like a little foot massage as I walk on it! It adds a very homey/cozy feeling to the room. The color was maybe a hair darker than the picture, but not a big deal and probably not noticeable to most folks. The design element is more of a white or off-white than an "Ivory" as stated in the description. Anywho- If you're looking for a tall-piled shag rug, this one is your best bet! It was also nice to have a 9x12 rug delivered to the door instead of having to go pick it up at a store! :)

I placed this rug at my front door. I have the matching rug in a 7 foot square rug in my den. I love The Safavieh Hudson style rugs!! Will be looking to buy more to place throughout my house.

Wow, from the reviews I was expecting this to be pretty awesome, and it did NOT disappoint! It is so soft and thick and plush, and I love the "mottled" look of there being multiple different hues of gray in it to help hide dirt or wear or whatever. My husband who usually has pretty much no opinion on these things was like Wow, this is NICE! HOW MUCH was this???" Granted I did pay about *** for this rug AND the rug pad I bought for it combined, but we had gotten an estimate on getting a nice carpet remnant, bound and with a pad in the same size, and it was going to be just shy of ***, so even though it wasn't cheap, I do feel like the quality matches the price and I still saved money. It feels so good under your feet, and despite being folded in half down the middle, then rolled and squished into a bag for who knows how long, it flattened out very nicely in no time! When we first laid it down, you could easily see the fold line right down the center of it all, but with walking around on it to put the furniture back in the room and just normal walking in the room, you could barely see the "line" by the next day. Now, 3 days later, you can't even tell there was a line there. This was purchased for a bedroom, and I may get another one for our living room, I am so happy with this one! I have yet to vacuum it, and I read that some people with Shark vacuums had trouble with it sucking up the rug, so having a Shark myself, we'll see how that goes. I DO have a cheapy vacuum also that I could try if the Shark is too strong for it. So far very happy and hope it vacuums and wears well! Update 1/3/19: Absolutely LOVE this rug. Every time I'm walking around on it, I wish I could have it all over my whole house. It IS difficult to vacuum with my shark, but I discovered that the attachment the goes on the hose for using on hard wood floors works very well for it, stands it up nicely and pulls stuff out of it. We also have a puppy in the house who has peed on it a couple times and dabbing/pressing it dry and cleaning it with an enzymatic cleaner, it didn't mess up the shag at all, and you can't tell whatsoever! Still very happy with purchase and highly recommend!

I have two boys at home and this rug is going to be a dirt trap. Ugh !!! If you vacuum a lot or want this in a heavy traffic area think again !! It's too thick to keep clean. Color is not beige-gray but a true ash gray color.

The quality is fabulous! It is so comfortable my teenagers and the dog lay on the rug instead of the couch. This was my first purchase From Overstock and I could not be happier.

This rug is a thick, soft, plush, luxurious rug! Love it! It is definitely grey, no greige or taupe, although it goes great with those paint colors. Best quality rug I found when looking, and for a fraction of the price of others. Might buy another!

Let me tell you, I spent hours night after night looking for rugs for my living room. I would read the reviews and after many nights I made the decision. I pulled the trigger and went for this one. 1) its soft 2) lays flat and doesn't curl 3) no weird smell 4) well packaged I haven't been disappointed with Overstock.

After reading all the reviews I decided on the grey trellis pattern and I'm so glad I did! It is very thick and plush. The grey is the perfect color and looks great. The size fits perfectly in my living room. I'm so happy with my purchase and will definitely be purchasing another one for my sunroom.

I LOVE this rug... 5 stars for a reason. Honestly, I didn't think I could like it as much as I do. I've been trying to get the matching Ivory/Grey for my other living area but its been sold out. Its VERY thick, super soft and just feels so nice under your feet. I'm pretty picky, you cant go wrong... its also very elegant and fresh looking. Purchase without hesitation and enjoy!

This is my first shag rug and I couldn't be happier. Very plush, does not shed. Color has grayish/ivory tint, so it is not white or cream, but still looks awesome. You can vacuum it, but set your vacuum on hardwood floor setting (turn off rotating brush). I bought this rug to freshen up my outdated grey sofas and this rug (with a few cream throw pillows) completely made over my living room.

Got this for my bathroom. It us suoer soft and toasty warm on my feet. Si much more attractive than a typical bathroom rug. Good quality for the price too.

do yourself a favor and if you are even thinking about this rug, stop thinking and get it! This is the second Hudson rug we have purchased because we love the color, the durability and it's SO SOFT. We used it in the living rug, no rug pad needed.

ABSOLUTLY NOTHING ITS GREAT

this is a REALLY thick shag rug. I highly recommend a carpet rake and you have to be careful what type of vacuum cleaner you have...the ones with rotors will cause the vacuum cleaner to clog. the carpet rake and cheap vacuum actually do a really good job!

UPDATE: This rug started to raise up in areas along the sides and would no longer lie flat. Shame. Love this rug. Very soft even without pad. Great rug for the money. Would definitely buy again and highly recommend. First rug I have bought online and was surprised how nice it feels.

Very nice deep shag rug. High quality and very plush and soft under foot. Colors were nice but the white in the background was a bit too white for my decor and the gray was a very true gray.

I love it. It is thick, soft, and looks great. Unfortunately my cat thinks it's something for him to pee on, so it currently lives in my basement, but my feet are comfortable when I'm doing laundry.
