Initially, this rug looked great. Nice and thick, soft, etc. Immediately, I noticed shedding. This is to be expected with a wool rug, to an extent. Unfortunately, this rug became a nightmare, when I had guests over. Whenever someone sat on my sofa, where their feet touched the rug, there was an enormous amount of grey shedding... to the point of embarrassment. The rug looked so bad, by the end of the night, I had to replace it with another, after a few months of trying to live with it. The other, major problem, is that the black striped bleed onto the white from foot traffic and vacuuming. Keep in mind, I am a single person and the rug never got much traffic to begin with. I attempted to clean the white parts of the rug, but nothing would removed the grey. I replaced the rug with a black and white, wool, chevron rug and was a bit apprehensive, figuring the same thing would happen, but the new rug is NOTHING like this rug... I've had that one for over a year with no shedding and no bleeding, so I'm convinced this rug is just very poorly made. BEWARE.
