Safavieh Handmade Silken Glam Paris Shag Ivory Rug - 8' x 10' - 8' x 10'

Had purchased 2 other rugs, seems very hard to get true off white, they are either a yellow/ beige or bright white. If you are looking at the picture online it looks most like what you see in the furnished room. It is in NO way as thick as the other pictures but it looks nice. I rolled the ends backwards for a few minutes to get it to lay flat and its is perfect. If you are purchasing for a higher traffic area maybe get a felt pad to put under it as it is a little slippery on hard wood floor. The 2nd rug I had purchased originally was $899 so this was a nice price and gets the job done. I know how hard it is to purchase on line items as I am furnishing a whole house right now based on reviews of others because there is so much to choose from. Hope this helps someone else feel good about ordering this rug, I got the 8 x 10 size and would say don't hesitate to buy this. Great price and decent quality. Just remember it is not thick and plushy it is more like a floppy pile that falls different ways and is thinner but you don't see the backing at all. Happy shopping.

I bought this area rug for under my coffee table. It arrived quickly and in great condition. My husband rolled it out and without squeezing, bending, or folding under the corners, the rug laid perfectly flat. It has a nice weight to it. The silk shag is wonderful! It's the perfect length and is extremely high quality. I love the feel on my feet! It is so soft and so silky that I want to constantly run my toes into it, yet there are no footprints left behind. No raking like in the '70s! The silky shag design is an off white with wisps of sand throughout -simply gorgeous. And, the neutral tones will work for any decor. The contrast is stunning against my dark, hand scraped, hardwood, floors! Classy and elegant yet it passed my husband's standard of not looking too feminine!! He loves it more than me, I think! I do recommend purchasing the carpet pads. Not, only for safety against tripping, but to keep your floors looking like new. It's possible, if the rug slides often, it might create wear marks or scratches on expensive flooring. I highly recommend this area rug in low traffic areas. You will Not be disappointed!! This is such a beautiful rug! I have the same rug in a different color as well but this one is even more gorgeous in my opinion (Looks like a soft rabbit coat). It took about a day to fluff up after unpacking but is worth it. Its so soft and luxurious to walk on and really warms up the room. I use this rug as my centerpiece in my family room. My kids love it and lay on it while doing their coloring books and so does our dog. Terrific buy at such a low price, many of my guests think I spent a fortune on it. I would also recommend using a rug pad under it as I have, makes it even more plush. Thanks O!

I bought this rug for Caitlin, my 8 year old granddaughter, as a birthday gift. Caitie's mother had been redecorating her room in a Paris-themed style and Cait was very involved in creating some shabby-chic accessories. Caitlin and I were cleaning her room when the rug arrived. She could hardly contain her excitement! We brought it upstairs, cut off the wrapping and unrolled it. All three generations of women in our family agreed; the rug is absolutely gorgeous and has a silky feel! Caitlin lay down on it and made silk angels on it.That night, Caitlin pulled her pillow and comforter off her bed slept on her new rug. Each one of her four brothers came upstairs to 'try out' the new rug and everyone feels the same way, this rug is terrific! When I bought the rug I showed it to my daughter, Sherry, to get her opinion on it. Sherry was concerned that it might be too sophisticated for the turning-eight birthday girl. I assured my Sherry that, if Caitlin didn't like the rug, Sherry could use it elsewhere in the house. "Also", I said, "If you don't want it, I'll take it!" Do I need to tell you that I have absolutely Zero chance of ever getting my hands on it? Last night, my rough-and-tumble 10 year old grandson asked me if he could have one of those rugs in another color! Thank you for a beautiful, well-made product which I highly recommend. This rug feels like your waking on silk! So soft and smooth. Not super thick but the feel totally makes up for that. It's the perfect look for my mid century living room.

All positives with this sheik rug! It has the perfect texture, sheen, density, color and a nice backing. It is the easiest cream color carpet to keep clean due to the silliness of the fibers. It's easy to vacuum with the bar off and dirt does not stick to the silk fibers! The color is a perfect cream color...not white but not yellow at all. Subtle off white in a milky shade of white. I is not super cushy due to the silk fibers it is thick and feels like walking or skating on silk. So I added carpet padding to give it a little more Cush. Threads a nicely dense. I am a shop til I drop shopper for the best bargains with quality. This is a SCORE!!!

It is a beautiful rug very fluffy and color is gorgeous match my decor perfectly. I did find several black strings in between the neutral color but overall very happy with my purchase my kids love to walk bare feet on the rug and it feels great. Will definitely recommend it.

This rug is beautiful! I am shocked it wasn't more expensive. I was looking for something to add a bit more elegance to my room. Quality is very plush and luxurious. Color is definitely ivory as described but more cream ivory than white ivory. Feels amazing to the touch and under the feet. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Not what I thought. My daughter was sooooo excited when I ordered this rug but it is not what we expected. It is not very thick and fluffy like shown in the picture. I can see the backing through the strands and when you walk on it you can feel the plugs where it is put together. It also feels slippery (if that makes sence) Since this was going in a child's bedroom we are returning.

This rug is very soft and comfortable and pretty. Although I loved it my husband did not like that it is slippery. Since it is very silky your feet and furniture do slide very easily on it. It also sheds a good amount.

This rug stays beautiful , vacuum with beater bar off, and clean vacuum base.

I liked the look and feel of the rug but the rug color regardless of which room I put it in in my house borders on yellow versus a cream or winter white. be prepared for that.

This rug is far more than I expected. I have a bit over 3 months that I purchased it and no shedding. The rug feels soft and feels great to walk on. I'm so happy I purchased it.

This rug feels so silky under my bare feet. Just stunning! Cleans easily. It is thing but I put thick padding under it, it feels so amazing. I love getting out of bed putting my feet on it.

Even though this rug isn’t as fluffy as the picture shown , it is still really cute and I love the ivory color but this rug carries a HORRIBLE chemical smell . I got this rug about a month ago and the smell still lingers a little . I couldn’t sleep in my room the first few days . Too much of a hassle to try and return

This is a beautiful rug that has a nice shine to it. The pile is long but doesn’t lay too flat. My only complaint is that without a rug pad the rug is a little hard under your feet. Add a good rug pad and it’s a wonderful rug.

Buying a white rug is always a bold move, but we have been thrilled with the resiliency of this material. It's pretty easy to clean, some spills have come up easily. We love it!

Beautiful carpet in my dinning room bought the Epsilon white ceiling lamp as well to go with it, must say really go together . Highly recommend it.
