  • Great quality, colors strange

I ordered this rug because it looks like fire in the image. Unfortunately, the colors in person are a bit odd. The red and the yellow look good with each other, but it also has a lot of cool grey and purple in it too. My living room has warm tones--red, orange, army green and mustard yellow. The cool tones in rug really clashed with my warm pallet, but I think it would clash with a cool pallet too. It is a wonderful rug, but I think it is trying to everything and as a result, might not work for anything.

Well made, thick, soft and comfortable. Colors are true to picture. It does shed a lot at first. I am very pleased.

  • Vibrant, fills a room with energy! (and fuzz...)

This is a rug that looks better in person than on site. If you want a vibrant, trendy, Ikat-inspired (because it's not really Ikat, of course) rug, this is something you'll like as soon as its on your floor. However, after an hour or so of modest sock traffic, ahoy matey: the shedding, oh, the shedding!!! We kept it on the floor no more than an hour or so before we realized we would not be able to live with this rug for the time it would take to no longer shed. It would require vacuuming every day. The rug is thick and plush underfoot, which feels nice, and indicates that there's a heckuva lot of fibers to shed. Sure, sure, after a few years the shedding would diminish. And at this price point, many folks would be willing to put up with the aggravation. If this is you: enjoy! If this is not you: Consider a woven (inexpensive) or hand knotted (expensive) alternative.
