  • Good quality but pattern a bit disappointing
    Verified Purchase

This rug is a good quality and quite thick and cushiony. However, the pattern is disappointing in the size I bought (8'3x11'). While it may look nice in a smaller size, the pattern was just enlarged for the bigger size, and does not have enough detail. I bought another large rug from the same company and am very happy about that pattern, but just not with this rug.

  • nice color but sheds like crazy
    Verified Purchase

Color is vibrant but every time we vacuum, our vaccum canister needs to be emptied. So much comes off that I wonder what it's going to look like in a years time.

  • Good enough

It's a nice rug. It's also less that $500, and I definitely expected to get what I paid for. The detail of the design is fair but not great, and the softness of the fibers is pretty good, but I didn't expect a rich, velvety rug. If I had paid $1000, this would be a terrible deal. However, I think for its price and size it's worth it. I wanted a red rug, and this is red. It is lighter in person overall, though. More washed out. Especially the 'gold'. I'd actually call it a custard color--very light yellow. As other reviewers mentioned, it sheds A LOT. The shedding will eventually stop, but if you're planning on having this in your living room, you may want to either have an interim plan for the few months while it sheds all the loose fibers or get a different rug. My husband and I vigorously rubbed it with clean shoes to scrape up loose fibers and the pile of fiber we created looked like we had just shorn a sheep. And it's still shedding. Seriously: a lot of shedding. No joke. But it's in a back room, so it's not a constant hassle. All in all, if you want a big, affordable, red wool rug, it's fine. The price is hard to beat. If you can spend more, you could probably do better.

  • Crazy shedding
    Verified Purchase

I thought that the color was much better in person than pictured on the website. However, I would not purchase this item again secondary to the amount of shedding. It has been almost two months, and still needs to be vacuumed almost daily (have gone through 3 vacuum bags already). We do have three small children which create a good amount of traffic on it, but it is still much more than what I would find to be acceptable.

  • Great colors
    Verified Purchase

This rug was a great value for the price. It's listed as red/gold, however there are several shades of green also. It goes great with my furniture and wall colors. Purchased an underlay also as I was putting it on a dura ceramic floor. I am very pleased with the look and feel of the rug. Would have had to pay 3 times as much from a local carpet store and would have waited 10 days or more to get it. I ordered on a Monday night and had it in my home 36 hours later. Wow!
