  • Vibrantly Beautiful

Yes, it does shed, but because of the pattern it's not that easy to notice. You do have to vacuum or pick up the shedding, but you would do that anyway. The colors are vibrantly beautiful and the rug is thick and rich looking. I love mine, despite the shedding.

Bought two of these to soften the all wood look of a log cabin. The colors are warm and the quality is good. Wool is the best option if a spark should escape the fire guard but so far no sparks.

I love this carpet and so has everyone that has seen it in my home. Very plush and rich looking. Very good quality, well priced and I researched that quite a bit. Your company delivered exactly how and what they promised. It was less money to buy new than to have my other carpet cleaned! Thank you and I intend to order from you again.

I purchased a large oval one a few years ago. This one seemed to have a bit more fuzz coming off when vacuuming. The colors are not quite as bright as the picture shows, but I prefer the way it is. Goes better with my antique furniture.

  • The right pup was sent, but the pics were too good

Buying this rug to me is similar to buying a dog online. Well, it’s the same pup though :). It’s not like the time I paid a chunk of money for a ‘micro teacup Maltese’ and ended up with a big, ivory, mix bred poodle looking thing, ha ha .. But whoever took the pictures of this rug and I are probably related. We know how to use the right lighting for our pups and make them look good. Well, a little bit of photoshop would help :) To the people like my younger sister who prefers bronze chandeliers with brown glass shades, earth tone walls, black and white pictures with dark frames, this rug is not bad. To the people like me, who prefers to keep it a bit more cheerful, and like to have shiny brass fixtures, bright crystal chandeliers, light color walls, antique gold frames here and there, then this rug is a bit dull. I read other people’s comments about its colors and I thought: I’m not exactly looking for a too bright color anyway, like something close to a primary red, so how bad can it be? … I should have listened. The burgundy color is prettie darn dull itself and the gold color is actually something brown. And the rug lacks the shine, and it ends up looking like something has been around the house for a long while. With the dark hardwood floor and dimmed light setting, it doesn’t look too bad. In brighter setting, it looks ‘used’. It’s not Overstock’s fault. They have the same pictures everywhere else. And I found Overstock has the lowest price. The rug is actually thick. But I also find it similar to my 2.5 lb Chihuahua: Don’t rub it and you don’t know it sheds; Rub it and you’d better take out the vacuum machine. I was planning to get another one of the same kind to place in the dining area but I now decide not to. I might use the ones I just bought to death or just put them in the basement and get different ones. It’s a done deal to me and I’m not planning to return them because I don’t want to lose money in shipping them back. I paid $*** totally for a 5' x 8' and a 3' x 5' and considering they are woold rugs, so I guess I paid for what I got.
