Poor quality....have had it for several years and it's still pilling/shedding. Moving soon and it's not coming with me

  • This rug looks attractive in my dining room.

The colors were just as described, but the gold is a more yellowy shade rather than a mustardy gold. The sage green border edged in ivory is beautiful. The rug adds a look of elegance to my dining room as the gold matches the walls perfectly and the green coordinates with the drapes. It is soft to the touch and fairly thick. Excessive shedding is not a problem. One negative comment is the rug arrived packed inside two heavy plastic bags and the outer bag smelled quite musty. I was worried I would have to return the rug. However, when we slid the rug out from the inner plastic bag, the rug itself did not have a musty odor. Lucky for us!

  • Beautiful Colors & Pattern

The colors in this rug are beautiful. The "red" is actually more of a wine/dark russet color, the "green" is a lovely soft sage, and there is a good amount of a warm, creamy gold tone. When I unrolled the rug, I noticed immediately how nice and thick it was. I put a thin rug pad under it, but I don't think it would really slip on my floor. The only drawback that I've noticed is that it sheds A LOT! The yarns also seem very prone to pulling. I do have a cat, and the rug appears to get little tufts just from him running on it. (Although, he has "christened" it by sharpening his claws on it now and then! When that happens, you can see where it looks "disturbed" but it doesn't get thinner or get holes in it...thank goodness!) I've had it since December, and it looks nice despite the tufts sticking up here and there. So, I'm not sure if it's the quality of the wool or the deep pile that makes it prone to shedding and "tufting". I previously purchased a wool rug from Overstock for another room in my house, and have not had any shedding with that rug.
