Since it helps to know where the review is coming from: I have a newer 4,000 square foot home and I like my furnishings to suit the house but I also know that my house is going to get lived in and rugs will get worn out. I don't want to spend a fortune on a rug in a high traffic area but I want it to look like good quality, not cheap. I have a couple of expensive wool rugs and this fits right in. It is thinner than my expensive rugs but you cannot tell without picking it up and inspecting it. If you sit on it, it feels soft and inviting. I also bought this rug in the light grey/ivory color. I love them both. You would never know that I paid $***. If you are used to paying $1,000 plus for a rug, this might feel thin to you but I don't think you'd be able to tell the difference unless you felt the thickness and compared. As far as people saying it was unraveling, one of the rugs had a loose string that I immediately cut off. No other problems and I would never complain about that because it is so inexpensive you cannot expect perfection. Definitely worth every penny. The colors are like they are online. It is very pretty in person.

Beautiful rug! I purchased this 8x10 Safavieh Evoke Vintage Oriental Grey/Ivory rug to go in my bedroom, partially under my king-size bed. My bedroom walls are a medium blue with a lighter blue ceiling and white trim. This rug has shades of grey, blue, and light ivory which blend perfectly with the other colors in the room. I put a fairly thick pad (about 1/2”) under this rug, which helped to create a softer feel when you walk on it. The rug is available in several sizes and I’m considering buying a runner to place in the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom.

This rug, the Safavieh Evoke Vintage Oriental Gray/ Ivory Distressed Rug is perfect for the space I had available. I needed something to lightened up the room because of the color of the furniture. I love the color and it looks beautiful in the living room of my house. I actually have this rug on top of the rug on my floor and the color of the rug is light blue. Beautiful rug! Bought it for our lving room, which is close to our dining room, where I used the Safavieh Evoke Vintage Oriental Ivory/Blue Distressed 8x10 rug. I was stressed about how they would look together, because I wanted a coordinated but not matching look, and they are both fabulous!

Perfect, softer than expected. No need for pad underneath on travertine floor. Colors grey, navy, ivory and teal. The teal is blended in background, I was concerned at first, then once rolled out cannot notice as much blends into back ground. Beautiful!

The rug came in a timely manner and not damaged. It is as described and just what I was looking for. I love it.

I debated for over a month about this rug. I read all the reviews and came to a conclusion that the description and colors were accurate. Once it went on sale, I went for it! It's a pretty ivory color with navy blue and there are accents or turquoise. I ordered the 5'x7' size because my room is fairly small. This is the 8th Safavieh rug I've purchased in less than a year and I love every one of them! I also have two of their pillows!

This rug is perfect for my dining room. The colors are ideal: good pop but not overwhelming. It picks ups all my grays, browns, and multiple accents of blues around my house perfectly. Good quality and comfortable on the feet. If it seems wrinkly, it will settle after a few days. It lays nice and I did not need a pad underneath it.

We had new flooring and wanted a rug that would be big enough to place under a dining room table. We purchased the Safavieh Evoke Vintage Oriental Grey / Ivory Distressed Rug (8’ x 10’). We ordered a non-slip pad at the same time, however felt the rug lay flat on the floor and would not be moving with the table on it. As you can see, there is plenty room for chairs to move on the rug. We have had it several months and continue to receive compliments.

Lovely rug, even more attractive in person than the pictures. The distressed coloration in cream, grey, pale aqua, medium Navy blue with touches of pale yellow is beautiful - the soft distressing of the colors give this rug the look of a much more expensive one. It is nice to be able to find an Oriental type pattern rug in a light coloration and Safavieh is a master in designing and producing them. The polypropolene yarn looks and feels like wool - crisp yet, soft and not too deep a pile. Very closely tufted for a great feel underfoot. I purchased the 8'x11' for the living area of my great room and the 6'7" round for the dining area. Used a pad under the large rug but didn't use one under the round rug. I highly recommend this rug, great product for a very reasonable price. Great service from Overstock.com - quick delivery, excellent packaging and product tracking.

Love the color and style of the rug

I bought this rug to go in my living room .... first purchase of this type on internet, so I did not know what to expect! This rug is so rich looking... the colors are just as stated and it just looks great! Unbelievable what they can do with acrylic or polyester or whatever they use. Since the rug goes over a tile floor, I also got a decent pad to help with the echo of a house that is all all tile and high ceilings. I now spend a lot of time in this room as the rug makes it so inviting!!! This rug feels so good under bare feet. This Persian type rug has an "old" quality to it that makes it look almost like a priceless antique that would be made of wool or silk. I have already bought another rug from same manufacturer for my family room. I get many compliments on this rug and would recommend this purchase to friends. I think the pad adds a lot of extra value to this rug.

The color is more vivid than what shows in the photo on my screen. But the rug is beautiful anyway. I like the low pile of this rug--very easy to walk on and to vacuum. The shade is, as other have said, not a true light blue but a little closer to teal blue or ocean blue. It goes very well with blue teal accessories. I am using this in my apartment living room to cover up their very ugly carpet. This is a lot more pleasant to walk on and to look at. It can be hard to buy an area rug online because you can never be sure of the colors. All monitors are different and manufacturer's description usually will not state all the colors in the rug. I personally want to know all the colors I did have to return one rug in a different color and pattern and have to say Overstock was great about talking me through the process. I am not a person who returns things often and this item would not have been easy to load in the car and off to UPS drop off site. I appreciate all the Overstock.com chat reps' patience with me through the return process as I can now relax, loving my new rug!
