Mixed feelings about this rug... softer than I expected for a jute rug. I like that it is a brighter, paler tan than what is typical for jute or other natural fiber rugs. It also has more color variation in the strands than I expected with some prominent dark strands throughout that are more obvious because of the paler color of the other fibers. It has a strong smell to it that reminds me of lanolin (wet wool) and my dog won't stop smelling it. Inside the packaging was wet when it arrived (sunny and my porch is covered, so it didn't sit in the rain). I'm hoping the odor will clear out soon when the rug dries completely. It's a coarser weave than I expected based on the close up pic in the description. I placed it under my dining table and it looks good with the table, but the weave is coarse enough that the chairs don't slide well over it. It would probably work well in an area where the furniture placed on it doesn't move much.

This rug really looks good and brightened up my area and is much softer than I expected for natural fiber. The color description as ivory is accurate. It lends itself more toward white tones than yellow tones and is not the tan color of many natural fiber rugs. The rug is not stiff on the floor and although it can be anchored by the furniture it’s soft nature will allow it to squirm some under foot so I will be adding a rug pad to stop that. I don’t think you’ll be able to vacuum it with an aggressive beater bar as I think it will damage the rug. Can’t speak to the durability but I’m not expecting it to last like a wool rug but don’t mind that for the fresh new look. Overall a great look and will likely work with most colors.

Love the look and a great value for the $
I bought the 2x3 to "try it out"before buying the larger 10x14. I think it's a great rug if you're looking for a natural fiber rug. Swapped it out for an oriental rug in my living room to make it lighter, more neutral and less formal. Love the texture! Like a boucle sweater! It's much softer than you fear a jute rug might be, though I wouldn't get it for a room where kids are sitting/playing on or where you frequently walk barefoot. Color is very accurate in the photos. Neutral in an ivory/sandy way, does not lean yellow/camel like many sisals or green like seagrass. Could also work nicely with grays.
-
color not ivory, definitely cream
I purchased 2 rugs that said "ivory". They were to be close in proximity so I wanted them to match fairly closely. One was white which I call ivory and then this one which was not white at all. It was cream colored, close to beige. It is a nice quality rug....very thick and adds great texture to the room but one of the rugs has to go. I picture ivory as elephant tusks, or piano keys....white. This elephant did not brush his teeth.

Gorgeous Jute, so soft!

I took my time over the past couple years, researched, price shopped...I finally ordered a 9x12. It fits my room perfectly,it is so light in color I am thrilled, not dark, very very soft, no dirt, no dark spots, very natural. No grassy smell, unrolled and laid flat. Very heavy, thick, even my pets lay on it, not lumpy. I have a farmhouse, beachy vibe in my living room and this suits me to a T. I couldn't be happier with my purchase? I recommend anyone interested in this style to watch the video, it will give you a small idea how much work and pride go into these rugs, it is all hand den and every bit of that workmanship shows in the quality of the product I now have in my home. I actually laid on the floor and watched TV the other nite....haven't done that in years. Pictures in website are very close, but don't do this rug justice, it really is Gorgeous.

This rug is super nice! It is my second one. The colors are very rich; and it cleans easily - just a quick vacuum. Or a hose down if it is really dirty. Also this rug is reversible, thereby doubling the wear! I love the color selection! Lots of options for a natural fiber rug.

Love this rug, I ordered 2 different sizes, soft muted colors of blue and grey. Soft to bare feet too. If you want natural fiber rugs these are a good choice .
-
Great Quality and Beautiful
This rug is so much softer than any of the other natural fiber rugs I have in my home. It arrived in perfect condition and looks just like the picture. Really good quality for the money.
-
I absolutely love this rug! We have a little farmhouse style home and this goes beautifully in our living room. I love that the color is ivory instead of the natural dark jute color. If your looking for a decent priced jute area rug I highly recommend purchasing this one. You will not be disappointed!

Not the petite weave that's pictured
I ordered this rug with the full understanding that colors can vary from monitor to monitor, etc. The color is not the issue, it's the weave. This is not the small, compact weave that's pictured in the photos. It's a large, chunky weave so be prepared for that if you order. Look at the standard tan jute rugs from World Market to get a better idea on the weave. Also, the rug smells strongly of manufacturing. I'm hoping baking soda will take care of it in short order. Not looking to return simply because it would be a pain to do and I do like the color.

This is NOT gray

Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the rug so far. I've only had it for a short time, but am hopeful it will hold up well. My issue is with the color. Yes, it's tough to order online and judge color correctly. But I wouldn't call this gray in any capacity. It's a muted aqua and I would not recommend for anyone looking for a gray rug.
-
Good for price
Looks just like similar rugs from pottery barn, etc at a fraction of the price. Had an "outdoor" odor that went away in about a week or so. I will say there's not a good way to spot clean depending on what kind of mess you have... Water and mild soap left a mark.
-
Love this rug! Great quality and fast delivery

It is NOT a true GRAY...more of a green gray for sure.

I live the look of this rug. I hate the way it sheds. I could make another rug with all the debris. I vacuumed it nonstop and still it left stuff all over the place. Not just dirt underneath that’s common w natural fiber rugs, but full fledged dust bunnies collected everywhere and tracked through the house. Pretty though.

This is the second rug I have purchased and I ordered it in the same color as the first one -gray. This one I received it borderline olive green in color. Kind of disappointed.

Love this rug. Using in a beach rental. Perfect for knocking sand and dirt off feet before they hit our living room sofa. Beautiful and functional.
-
Good for indoor use or covered outdoor area. Because of the weave I would not use as a door mat.
-
Edit (10/3): The rug is not holding up well. There are multiple pulls in it. I'm incredibly disappointed. I bought the rug to use in the house right inside the back door. It works perfectly! I do need to get a rug pad though as the rug slips on the hardwood all the time. Would definitely get again!

Have ordered several rugs from Overstock in the past few years but I'm really disappointed in this one. The image on screen looks great, as did the rug initially. After a few days of walking on it lots of snags and rough spots popped up and it looked really ratty...like it was years old. On top of that, within the first few days of walking barefoot on it...lots of little wood spikes or hard fibers poking through that actually felt like nails going through the bottom of my foot! I've have several natural fiber rugs over the years and NEVER had an experience like that! Just not a rug for me. I wouldn't spend more than $100 on this rug.
-
I love this brand. The quality is gteat. Every rug I got from them looks amazing and way more expensive than what it actually cost me. I get tons of complements on them. Worth the price. I'm very satisfied with all of them.

I slipped and fell coming in from my pool and hurt myself pretty badly my dog has also slipped on the tile a couple of times going outside. I set the runner up in the entry path and it is nice and thick and so far doing a great job keeping us from slipping. It is a beautiful neutral color that goes well with our tile and doesn't clash with our decor. If you look at the pictures the lighter picture with a lot of variation in the color and texture is the one that is more true to what it looks like in person. I shopped around and this was the best price I could find online. I am thrilled with my purchase!

Love this rug! I bought 3 runners for our kitchen in Ivory. This rug is soft, durable and looks great in my coastal home. This is perfect for wood floors and 2 cats. The color was as expected. I would definitely recommend. In fact, I had a recent visitor, my cousin, who insight, immediately placed an order for this rug.

Q:
"Can you vacuum this rug without damaging it? Does it need special care? It will go under a dining table to will need to vacuum crumbs and mess. Thanks!"
-
A:
Rugs made from natural fiber jute, sisal and seagrass have a wonderful woven texture that allows dirt to fall through. Vacuuming the rug, and underneath the rug, is the easiest way to remove debris. In the case of a stain, natural fiber rugs can be scrubbed with a soft brush, but avoid getting these rugs too wet, as water can weaken the fibers over time.
