Received the runner today (VERY quick shipping!!). I could not be happier. Not sure where else you can get a sisal 8 foot runner for ***. Works perfectly in the front hallway, especially with upcoming winter weather; I anticipate this will do a great job of catching tracked-in dirt. Color is EXACTLY as picture shows. I am very happy with this purchase. If I had the space, I'd consider buying the larger sizes of this same rug. NOTE: My dog does not seem to enjoy the feel of the sisal...keeps walking around it. Am thinking with time it might soften up some for her. Definitely not made for barefeet!

  • Great runner

This runner was just the right size for my hallway . The color is really sage. In addition to border, the sage also runs through the sisal as well. A welcome addition to any home!

  • Great Runner at a Great Price

We recently had oak floors installed as part of a kitchen remodel, and it was recommended that we protect the floor in the main work areas of the kitchen (in front of the fridge, sink, and stove). About 6 weeks ago, I purchased this 8 ft. runner, as well as two matching 4 ft. ones to create a "U" in the main work area. The runners are fairly thick and weighty-not cheap quality. After placing weights on the ends to flatten them from being rolled during shipping, the edges have not rolled, or curled causing any tripping hazards. They have a thin rubber backing so they stay put, which is very nice. The rubber is not abrasive on our new floors, and I didn't need to purchase any additional type of padding. They are sisal, so the texture can be a little rough on bare feet, but they have gotten softer with time and use. I chose the natural fiber rugs because they are easy to clean. I vacuum them regularly, and occasionally take them outside to shake them out. I am confident that, should something spill on them (they are in the kitchen after all), I can take them outside, hose and brush them out and then let them air/sun dry. I couldn't do that with a conventional 8 ft runner. The price for these rugs was very reasonable, compared to anything I could see on line. I came across a 6 ft runner that was very similar (although quite a bit rougher) in a local store that was on sale for $#$@!, but it was the only one they had. Since I had need for a specific size to fit my kitchen, I am very happy with my choice of these rugs. They are exactly what I needed at the right price and good quality.
