The rug is beautiful unfortunately it is more mushroom in color than taupe and doesn't go with my decor at all. Wish I could return it but it's out of the package.

I have had this rug just over 3 weeks and I couldn't be happier. No odor, no shedding. Perfect. It is exactly as described. It is a bit darker than I would have preferred but just as the picture showed.

When I received the rug it came rolled up but it appears that it was stored folded and rolled when shipped There are two bumps and I can't seem to get rid of. Tried weights and steam. The rug it self is plush and looks great. Just need to get the bumps out.

    • A-mazing rug for your $$!
      Verified Purchase

I"m not kidding when I say I have been diligently searching for a rug for 2 years! I had decided in the end that I wanted to go with a shag for our living room but everywhere I looked (and I looked EVERYwhere!) if they were good quality, they were $XXX.XX dollars, if the were affordable, they were crap. I finally found this rug online and felt it was going to be too good to be true. I started at the screen for an hour trying to decide between mushroom, ivory, beige, or taupe. I clicked on taupe and couldn't be more pleased! It's a very gray shaded medium brown color. Simply stunning in my rustic home where I use lots of natural colors that are more on the cool end of the color spectrum. This rug is very plush, thick, and soft. My dog has made it his new bed (much to my demise). I would recommend this to anyone! I can't tell you how happy I am. Also I did not notice any odor from the rug after rolling it out. Had friends over the night after we got it and they didn't notice a smell either. I'm thinking of buying another one in a different color for our loft. Simply wonderful and Affordable!

    • Perfect!

I ordered this rug after considering the same rug in mushroom, beige, and gray. Taupe is really what I wanted. I was aware that some reviewers thought the rug was darker than on screen and allowed for that possibility. However, my rug looks exactly as it appeared on my monitor. No surprises at all except how much I enjoy walking on it barefoot! Would highly recommend.

    • Very pleased. Love these rugs

These "Cozy Shag Rugs" by Safavieh are really great. I like them so much I bought one in Taupe and two in ivory. These rugs are so plush and nice to walk on... I'm very picky to say the least, and these rugs are way better then any shag rug I've ever seen, even the super expensive ones. The taupe rug color is pretty. It looks exactly like the image on my screen. But I will say it looks like a more "cool" shade then it appeared in the picture, if that makes sense. It almost has a grey tone to it, instead of a warm brownish tone. I would describe it as a cool light brown, and not taupe. But you can't beat the price of these rugs for the quality you get. I'm getting another one for my family room, I love it so much. Hope this helps!!

    • Just as expected - great!
      Verified Purchase

I am VERY pleased with these rugs. Colors are identical to the pics except there are light and dark yarns twisted together that give it a rich look instead of boring solid. I had ordered the 6x9 in beige (cream) for my formal living room and absolutely loved it, and now have the runner and another 6x9 in "taupe" for the den. These are very soft, thick, fluffy, luxurious area rugs. I did a LOT of shopping, and these were the nicest quality and best deal out there. Delivery of each item has been within a few days. The beige has two different colors (lt cream and dark cream mixed), so I called to see if the taupe was the same. I was told it was, so I ordered anxiously. The two colors mixed give it a rich, expensive look. The taupe is a mix of light and dark taupe blended together in the twisted yarns. Together it is a dark taupe, almost brown. If you want light, go with the beige instead which is a creamy off-white. These rugs are extremely thick (1-1/2") but vacuum very easily with my Dyson. Do not seem to shed. I cannot keep my bare feet out of them! My dogs love them. I bought some 1/4" carpet padding (from local hardware store) for underneath to hold them in place to the hardwood floors and to give a little extra cushion. Wow... I can't say enough about how nice these rugs are! The beige is classy in my formal living room, and the taupe is fun and shaggy in my den. Other reviewers said these have a smell and roll at the edges. Hellooo... they've been rolled up and have that new smell! Nothing a day unrolled on the floor won't cure. The smell goes away quickly (chemical smell from the spill-proofing I would assume), and the edges lay flat quickly after unrolling the rugs (roll them in the opposite direction for a minute - duh!) THESE ARE NICE!

This rug is definitely shag! It is very soft and looks great in the room. The rug sits pretty high off the floor because of how long the shag is, so my Rooma can't go on top of it, but it is now my dog's favorite place in the house to sleep. :) Shows how nice it is.

    • Q:

"How long does it take for all the lumps and bumps to fall out after opening packaging?"

      • A:

I placed free weights on each corner to help flatten and it did not take too long. love this rug also. If you have on the floor, I would buy a pad or mesh for underneath. it will keep the rug plush.

      • A:

I have the brown shag rug and my daughter bought the cream. my daughter did have hers cleaned and all the stains and smells came out as well.

      • A:

I did not have to do anything to mine. I did also buy a non slip pad for under it and it was great just stuck to that and had no bumps.

      • A:

I just unrolled it and put it on the floor and it flattened out in no time! I love how soft this rug is!! I would recommend it to anyone.

      • A:

I'd say ours laid totally flat within a week.

      • A:

Not sure how long it took, but it was very quickly, Love the rugs.

      • A:

Same! Put some heavy objects on the corners and the bumps. Took them off the next day. Has been flat since!

      • A:

Took only a few days for me..really have no complaints about this product.. I've ordered several.

      • A:

I have one corner that keeps rolling up; will add weight to the corner to see if that helps otherwise everything else is fine with the rug

      • A:

We unrolled the rug, centered it on a non-skid pad and vacuumed. Lumps and bumps were then gone immediately.

      • A:

Shedding will decrease slowly with time. Please note that over vacuuming can cause the weaves to loosen making shedding occur more often.

      • A:

Can honestly say mine didn't have "lumps and bumps"--it was pretty flat upon opening and anything else - caused by being in the roll - leveled out after a day or so. You need to remember this rug has good weight behind it which helps! Mine is a 9 x 12 :)

      • A:

This rug is beautiful but defiantly needs a mesh or pad. I have a 2 year old grandbaby that lives with me and it stays put! Buy it as you won't be disappointed;)

      • A:

It flattened out after about one week.

      • A:

It only took a day or two for it to be smooth. I did put a pad underneath.

    • Q:

"Does this rug need a pad, I am putting it on a tile plank floor?"

      • A:

Yes, it needs a pad, moving around a lot otherwise. Overall, very happy with it.

      • A:

I have this carpet in my living room and I didn't use a pad under it. I have heavy furniture on top of it so it doesn't move. It really depends the size of the carpet you are purchasing and if furniture will be placed on it. If you aren't putting furniture on top of it then yes I would recommend a non slip pad underneath. I hope this helps! Btw...this carpet is AMAZING!! :)

      • A:

Yes, we put rug pads down as if you don't they will slide. But **** sells a large roll for less than $** and we didn't use that much of it.

      • A:

Yes i bought a cheap non slip thing from another vendor and it is perfect.

      • A:

Mine is a 9 x 12 on wood floor - anchored by bookcase and sofas. I love it but do notice a tendency to move a bit--if it was smaller or put anywhere else without furniture, I would get a non-slip pad. Great rug --easy on the feet !

    • Q:

"Has anyone owned and used this rug long enough to tell whether it will flatten out? I am going to replace a similar rug in my family room that has flattened in well used spots over a two year period."

      • A:

I've had mine for only a year and it is doing fine. Did you know that if the piles on your rug flatten, that you can dampen the flat area with water and then lay a damp towel on top of the area that you just dampened; and then, by using a steam iron to iron over the towel/flattened part, that you can actually make the fibers in the rug stand up again?

      • A:

I have had mine for a little over a year in my living room with 4 kids and it is holding up great. There is lots of traffic and I am not seeing any wear at all.

      • A:

I have had mine in our living room for nearly a year and LOVE the rug...holding up great! Purchased 3 more smaller sized rugs for beside our beds and the same with them.

      • A:

I understand from previous questions asked by others that this rug is returnable.

    • Q:

"Can this rug be used on top of a hard, textured non-slick floor without a non-slip material under it?"

      • A:

Yes I placed this under my master bed it keeps it in place. If no heavy furniture in on it, I'd suggest a non-slip product, (hint I've used rubber shelf liner, cheaper)

    • Q:

"After having the rug 36 hours we still notice what I describe as a strong Petroleum Odor. Is the Odor normal for the carpet and if so where does it come from? I would expect a more glue like odor from a carpet rather than an oily smell. I realize that most customer do not bury their noise in the carpet, but it is hard not with it being as thick soft. The odor seems to stick to my clothes."

      • A:

Mine did not have a petroleum odor. That is unusual. Mine smelt clean and new. I would contact customer service for a replacement.

      • A:

I have not had any odor problems with our rug. I would ask them to replace.

      • A:

My rug had no odor at all. It sounds like your rug was exposed to something during transport.

      • A:

I have the 5.3' x 7.6' one. I will ask Overstock for a replacement since we do like it otherwise.

      • A:

I have bought three of these rugs and there is no odor. I just ordered my fourth for our great room. I wonder if the smell was a result of something happening during transit. I agree with the previous answer, contact customer service as this does not seem normal or acceptable.

      • A:

Our rug had no odors st sll and is lovely. Good quality, full yarn count, & exact colors as image.

      • A:

The rug had a strong smell when I opened it but it went away fast, no problems with mine. I love it

      • A:

Mine had no odor, I think there is something wrong with yours!

      • A:

Our rug did have an odor, although I can't say what specifically it was. We just commented for a few days about it smelling odd. It went away after about a week. We vacuumed it a few times to try and take the smell out. Don't know if that actually worked, but it made us feel like we were doing something to help get rid of it.

      • A:

Ok we got a replacement that was just as nice as the first one except no strong petroleum odor. I am very happy for everyone's help here and Overstock's great Customer Service. Also thanks to Safavieh for making such a pleasant, high quality rug.

      • A:

Mine had no odor at all.

      • A:

Thanks everyone for your input. I got a replacement and it is great! Overstock & Safaveiah replaced the smelly rug with one that has no smell. I think our first one was an exception that it had such a strong odor. The replacement we were sent is awesome. and has no smell. Thanks for all your answers to my question!

"Can this rug be used in a large master bathroom? We have allure flooring and the planks fit together. It has a pattern of beiges and a little bit of gray. I need a solid color rug. Thanks. "

      • A:

I don't see why not! I love that footprints aren't easily noticed in it. It looks fluffy all the time. I think it could work in the bathroom! I mean, if I needed a rug in mine I would go with it! I love the brand. I have 3 in my house. One in the kitchen. One in breakfast nook. And one in dining room. And growing. Haha.

      • A:

I think it would be nice in a bathroom. It's honestly one of the softest rugs between your feet, and it holds up well to traffic. It's a high pile but would be very cushy and luxurious in a bathroom I think.

      • A:

I agree with Brandy - Usually a product is not what it is said to be over the internet - this one is - I LOVE this rug - it is fluffy all the time - does not show dirt - feels great - I also have one in the living room and two in my master bathroom - I wouldn't have anything else -DeAnna

      • A:

Wow, it would add a real luxury feel to your master bath, enjoy! These are great rugs, I just bought my fourth.

      • A:

I have two in my guest bedroom. One on each side. They are quite soft and comfy. Quality product - not cheap and thin. I believe a solid color one would definitely work in your master bedroom.

      • A:

I think this could be used in a bathroom, although I probably wouldn't because it can't be machine washed. Color-wise I think it would match your decor - the color is as shown in the photo. We use this in our master bedroom under a treadmill.

    • Q:

"Does the rug curl or bunch up when you put a piece of furniture on it such as table and chairs?"

      • A:

Absolutely not...I have a 9x7 and part of my LR sectional and coffee table sit on it. It's not a flimsy rug at all. It has a strong, sturdy backing too. I love this rug. I also bought a runner to match it, and just bought another runner for my back hall. You will not be disappointed.

      • A:

Not at all. It's a pretty substantial rug and very well made. I don't even have a pad for mine and it stays put just fine. It's a great rug!

      • A:

I don't not have any furniture setting on it. It is a beautiful rug!!! I also bought the runner. Its very well made. I love it!

      • A:

No. This rug rolled out very well right from the wrapper. Love these. Got one for each of my kids rooms.

      • A:

No we have a couch, ottoman and chair sitting at least partially on it. No bunching. Love, love, love this rug!

      • A:

Not at all. I got the biggest size 2 years ago (and the lightest color I might add), put it in our high traffic living room and still absolutely love it! We have kids and pets and it cleans up so well also. You will not be disappointed! I bought another for our master I loved it so much!

      • A:

I doubt it would bunch but it is very plush so moving the chairs would need to be done prior to sitting. This is a very substantial rug and lays very flat. LIke the privious person answering I do not think you will be disappointed, it is a beautiful color and very good quality. Karen

      • A:

It lays wonderfully. I have ordered 3, all different sizes and shapes and colors. I have the large circle in my dressing room with a round ottoman in the center. It gets daily use and doesn't budge. Same with other 2.

      • A:

Now it lies very flat and is a very nice rug. I have been super satisfied with it!

      • A:

This rug is amazing! It is very well made, heavy, plush, absolutely gorgeous! I wish my whole house was covered in this! It's lovely! ❤️

      • A:

Absolutely not have a small coffee table on it and its fine

      • A:

I absolutely love this rug. Yes, it can be vacuumed, and it does NOT bunch when furniture is placed onto it. The color is exactly like it is in the photo, It is thick and feels great on your feet. I would recommend it highly!

      • A:

        No, it will stay flat.

      • A:

It does neither, but the pad I placed under it tends to "walk".

      • A:

No - I have 4 of these rugs. I have a dining room table on one, one is a runner, one is in front of my fireplace and one is in the living room with a sofa on part of it. No bunching for curling up at all. On any of them.

        http://safavieh.com/rug-care-and-cleaning

      • A:

I vacuum and use my caret cleaning machine to deep clean.mthe brown taupe does not show dirt like the lighter beige. I have both colors, lovely plush carpets.

      • A:

I do use a vacuum, but It's a pretty thick rug and can be a pain to vacuum.

      • A:

Yes, but the pile is very deep. Use the highest setting on the vacuum.

      • A:

Yes, however even on my vacuum's highest pile setting, I have to tilt the vacuum a bit to get it to move around. It's a very substantial rug, super high pile and feels amazing in bare feet. I figure a little more effort is well worth the trade off!

      • A:

Pile is deep, which is what I love about it. I have not had any issues vacuuming and pile comes right back up, rig looks like new!

      • A:

I use my Dyson cordless vacuum and it does a great job on this rug. i have also spot cleaned it with rug cleaner. I would not hesitate to shampoo it if needed.

"Is the taupe a warm or cool taupe. Warm would be more camel/tan and cool would be more gray? Thnx much!"

      • A:

It's Definitely not gray. It's more brown than tan.

      • A:

It is a beautiful shade of brown tan taupe! Very soft an d lovely to the feel for your feet!

      • A:

In my room, it had more grey. It all depends on your room, wall color, lighting, because I gave it to my daughter who has a grey room, and it looks more brown. I had to return it. The rug itself is beautiful, just a weird color

      • A:

Depends on the lighting. I see more tan/taupe my GF sees more gray....it's a beautiful Shag rug.

      • A:

It is definitely a warm tan, light brown color, than gray. Excellent quality and very cozy.

      • A:

It is more tan? Love it very thick plush

      • A:

I agree that it all depends on the lighting and existing room colors. Also, people view shades of colors differently. We've had family discussions about who sees what, and is your blue my blue. I have a light brown (tanish with light brown and taupe grain) wood look tile floor and greenish blue walls, a cherry dresser and cream colored shelving in my master closet and no natural light. With all that the rug definitely is more gray than tan, but a warm gray. Greige. A medium grayish brown. A modern taupe. It is definitely not leaning towards camel. I personally LOVE it.

      • A:

I would say it's more of a cool color than warm but it would depend on lighting, etc.

      • A:

Yes, I agree with angela822 that the rug is a nice medium shade of brown. It is darker than the picture as most reviews pointed out but worked for me as I wanted a brown rug for my son's room. Very good quality rug.

It is more of a warm tan and a high pile. I bought this for my 23 yo daughter's room and she loves it! Nice and soft too with a thick pile!

      • A:

The color is warm, but wouldn't call it camel tan, looks exactly like picture. Love the softness & thickness. I have a room size, runner & smaller rug in taupe, all of them very soft & & thick. Love them!

      • A:

        cool taupe

      • A:

Not a warm shade of taupe. More grey than tan.

      • A:

        Warm Camel/tan.

      • A:

It's not gray. It's a tan/taupe color. It doesn't matter what light it's in there is no gray in my rug. It's what you call warm.

      • A:

I think its really a COOL. it is a grey brown because when you flip it over the tight threads appear greyish. It has a blend of light with the dark creating a beautiful look and the feel on the feet isi great. There is no tan or camel whatsoever. It also was a little firm when it arrived but softened up in a day or so. I have it in the bedroom.

      • A:

I would say a combination of both. It has varying tones.

      • A:

It's definitely more warm. Very good quality and very soft! I would buy one again.

      • A:

        It would be warm taupe.

      • A:

        Warm camel/tan I love it!!

    • Q:

"I want to use this rug at my front door, what is the thickness and will it clear my front door when opening?"

      • A:

The pile height is approximately 2" inches.

      • A:

It's super plush and thick, so maybe not.

      • A:

It's a beautiful rug but doesn't clear my door in my entry it's too thick!

      • A:

It will probably not clear your door. It is a great rug, though! But don't drop a sewing needle, you will not find it...

      • A:

May not. It is super thick and the door will probably catch. Also needs to have rubber pad under to keep in place. Moves around. Hope that helps.

      • A:

My front door will open but this is very plush. I think the sweep allows for the thickness.

      • A:

I do not think it will clearance front door, it is very thick (2"). If it can be set back it would be a lovely rug at the entry.

"Could a ROOMBA be used on this carpet?"

      • A:

I have a Roomba and this carpet is too thick and lush. Which in my opinion is not a bad thing.

      • A:

My Simplicity vacuum on high setting goes over my taupe (love the color!) rug - but probably a good shaking out would be better.

      • A:

        Unfortunately no, it's too plush.

      • A:

        No, definitely will not.

      • A:

No. We just bought this rug a few months ago and have a roomba 880. The rug is too tall, the roomba won't "climb" on top of it.

      • A:

It' very thick. I have never used a ROOMBA before so I couldn't say for sure. I have a DYSON that works beautifully on it.

      • A:

I am thinking, no. The carpet is very thick. My Shark and Dyson are fine with the suction.

      • A:

I don't have one but I vacuum every day. This rug isn't that thick about an inch or less but it is very heavy and stays put. Actually one of the best rugs I have in the house. I have it on top of my carpeting. I would think if a Roomba could get up over the slight lip of the rug, then yes, it will work fine.

      • A:

I agree. Nope. This is the one thing in my apartment that I can't vacuum with my Roomba! But it's totally worth the extra effort, as thick and plush as it looks and feels!

    • Q:

"Do you need a pad for this rug?"

      • A:

We recommend the use of a non-skid pad to keep the rug in place on smooth surfaces.

      • A:

Although I'm not using one, it does slide on the floor without one.

      • A:

I have two of these rugs & I use a pad. I bought the pad Overstocks recommends. It is perfect. The rugs are really great too, you will love it.

      • A:

You will not need a pad for the large one because it is heavy and doesn't move on my wood floors.

    • Q:

"I am considering this rig in Taupe Round 6ft 7 for my dining room table. Can you tell me if this is more for a living room space and if I need to larger my table is 42 inches round. Thank you"

      • A:

It is a personal preference but this is a pretty high pile/ shag for a dining room, at least in my opinion. We have this rug in our bedroom. It really is nice!

      • A:

I have two of the small ones in my bedroom and like them. I have and 8 by 5 under my table. Hope that answers the question for you.

      • A:

I agree. It is a little too high of a pile for dining room. I use mine for a hallway. It is a nice rug and has held up to heavy foot traffic.

      • A:

I have 3 kids, and don't have experience with having a rug under my dining table; however, I still think I'd side with the other two in saying it's not so much a dining room rug. I have the taupe 3x5 in my master closet, and love it. It is very plush; the pile goes up to my second knuckle on my finger, maybe an inch and a half long. Very pretty, with slight varied color on two different types of strands, good quality and nice to walk on with bare feet.

      • A:

The shag is very long. I would not use this in a dining room as I would think the long shag would catch everything especially is you have children.

      • A:

This is a very nice dense shag. I have it in my family room under a large coffe table. Might be hard to move chairs on.

      • A:

I purchased the 8 by 10 rectangular for my dining room and it has surpassed my expectations. I also have the same size in my living room. High quality however, I have very low traffic as it is only my son and I.

      • A:

Personally, unless the chairs are on large casters I would not use it where chairs have to 'slide' in and out because the pile is deep and definitely would want enough room to not get a chair leg snagged on the rim. Mine is in the bathroom and feels great on bare feet.

      • A:

I'd agree with this is more of a living/family room rug and is quite plush. Cleaning large spills could be a pain. We have it in our family room and our kids love it, it's super soft and you just want lay on it.

      • A:

If you have a round table get the round rug. I wish I've gotten the round rug

      • A:

I love the round rug under my dining room table

      • A:

It is more of a living room rug since the fibers are longer and plush. I can't comment about the shape/size though.

      • A:

I agree. It is better suited for the living room.

      • A:

I use them as runners for the bedroom. I think it would be better in the living rom as it is very thick and soft.

      • A:

This is a plush/shaggy sort of rug. I have it in my living room and I love it, but I wouldn't set any furniture on it

      • A:

When choosing a rug for a dining table and chairs you need to add at least 2 ft for the chairs. So if your table is 42" round you need a rug that is 42"+48" or 90"( 7 ft 6"). This is s very plush rug and more appropriate for living spaces. We have it in our living room and we just love it.

      • A:

The round rugs are measured by diameter. Please plan accordingly for your living space.

      • A:

i also think the pile is too high for a dining area.. it is a nice rug,but more for a bedroom

      • A:

I love the rug in my living room. I would be hesitant to have it in a dining area where food could be dropped.on it. The pile is high and might hide food.

      • A:

It has a very thick pile, much more for living spaces. I would consider a shorter pile. Foods and even the legs of the chairs would get buried in the rug! But I would highly recommend this rug in living room or bedroom! Absolutely love this rug! Hope that helps!

    • Q:

"I have two young boys who will do a lot of Lego building on this rug. Is the shag too long where small Lego pieces could easily get lost? Thanks!"

      • A:

It is quite thick & plush. Having Grandsons who enjoy Lego's, I would say they could and probably would get lost in the thickness! But, they are very nice and soft.

      • A:

I haven't opened it yet but I bought it because it said it was very thick so I'm guessing you would have a problem with small parts.

      • A:

Yes! My daughter has little Barbie accessories which do get lost in the shag. But, this rug is super soft and plush so it's great for comfort but not for little tiny toys.

      • A:

I love these rugs and they are thick which is why I like them. But they might not be good for Lego playing.

      • A:

Yes absolutely, lego pieces (and other small items) will indeed get lost in this rug.

      • A:

Yes the rug is great but too high for the legos. The smaller ones would get lost and they wouldn't be able to stand up on it.

      • A:

Not too familiar with Lego but doubt those pieces would be small enough to be a "choking hazard" for young children so I don't believe the pieces would get lost in the rug. Good luck.

      • A:

No, there is no way that anything could get lost, the shag is comfortable, but not long at all.

      • A:

I agree. Pulling Legos out of the rug would be a real pain. Its really thick and long.

      • A:

I agree with okcasey. Fabulous rug but way too fluffy for Legos.

      • A:

i have same, and i would not buy it as it very easily swallows small toys/change etc. great rug though

      • A:

I purchased the rug for my bedroom to add some warmth and comfort to my bare feet. I do think the shag pile will find it difficult to locate the smaller Lego blocks. It might also not be the best (stable?) foundation for their creations. Hope this helps and answers your question. Thanks!

      • A:

I would have to say - yes they would. The rug is very nice but is thick shag and Legos would probably end up in the vacuum cleaner.

      • A:

They love this rug but Legos would easily get lost in the rug.

      • A:

It is very thick and plush, feels good under your feet. If the Lego pieces are very small, I would fear they would get lost. I ended up getting the Athens light grey rug for its color. Unfortunately for me it is not as plush or comfy under foot as the one you choose. However, you would easily be able to spot lego parts and it still looks nice. Hope this is useful. Good luck!

      • A:

Depending on how small they are, they can. But if they are large, they won't get lost. This rug is very soft and comfortable so they will probably enjoy laying on it instead of playing. You won't be disappointed.

      • A:

I agree!! Very nice and soft but could easily loose Lego pieces and hard to build on it!

      • A:

The carpet is beautiful,I suggest getting a play mat for them to play on a lighter color from carpet when they put toys up pick up mat run your hand over where they play!

      • A:

I would think this shaggy carpet would not be the material to build Legos on, would need more of a level serface. I put mine under a white wicker dinette set and it looks wonderful.

      • A:

A bit too long as a foundation for Legos, especially smaller pieces. BUT a great rug otherwise. I am absolutely thrilled with the look, feel and fit ( in my Living Room) ! Lastly, what a find, especially at the price!!

    • Q:

"How can you verify if you like the color and feel of a rug if your open it without voiding the ability to return? Can you open it enough to feel it?"

      • A:

Yes you can! The rug is rolled and covered in clear wrap so just slit carefully on one end and turn carpet corner enough to check color. The rug is so plush and heaven to walk on. The color of my rug is definitely taupe not beige. I purchased the best rug pad from Overstock as I hate the thin waffle pad. It makes a world of difference to me as I have ceramic tile floors.

      • A:

YOU COULD TOUCH THE RUG WITHOUT OPENING IT AND YOU COULD FEEL THE TEXTURE OF THE RUG BEFORE OPENING IT COMPLETELY

      • A:

I have a larger version of this rug in my living room and am VERY happy with the purchase. It was an amazing buy! I think you can put this under your dining table, but it is pretty thick and I wonder how it would feel when you move chairs etc. I usually like a thinner smoother rug under my dining table, so I probably would not put it there.

      • A:

The color is not beige, like I was hoping, Once I put my new brown furniture on it, it looked almost grey in my room. But the rug quality was lush. Wish the color matched.
