This is Just the Rug I Was Looking For
I've been tracking this Safavieh Adirondack rug for many months. I finally ordered it and I'm so glad that I did. It is perfect for me. It has exactly what I wanted: distressed look, low pile, grey and cream colors. I just received it so only time will tell how it wears. In the meantime, I am thrilled.

I have bought this rug 4 times in 3 sizes
I have bought this rug over and over in different sized. I love it! First, the "silver" is more of a pale grey. It looks NICER on person than it does online as the contrast isn't so dramatic. This is what you want in an overall "distressed" looking rug. I have a Hollywood themed bedroom (all glass furnishings, tufted headboard, etc., and purchased the 8x10 to go under my bed. It adds the perfect character and is the perfect look. The rug is very high quality, durable and a good thicknes. Interestingly, I also bought the rug in a smaller size for my living room where the room is nautically inspired. Because I already had it I saw that the contrast wasn't too dramatic and I really liked the distressed look and thought it would go well with my shabby sheek decor. And while the theme of the room is COMPLETELY different from my Hollywood inspired bedroom, it still worked and looked beautfiul. I have owned countless Safavieh rugs including their shag and jute rugs. Both indoor and outdoor. They are wonderful for BOTH indoor/outdoor use (their outdoor rugs look great inside as well) and this will continue to be my go-to brand on Overstock. Highly recommend!

The other reviewer thought that the rug would look weathered. It's true that it does not. But I don't mind that. I still like the way the pattern is broken up and incomplete in parts on a rug that is definitely new. I'm glad that I didn't let the other reviewer deter me. It is a great mix of modern and traditional for my living room. The rug flattened quickly, had no smell, and has had no shedding. It is soft and lovely. I guess it would be strange to have the same rug all over my house, but I wish I could put it in every room. I have no pets, but three kids ages 1, 5 and 10. My expectation is that if we do get stains, the unusual pattern of the rug will make them hard to detect. I have had the rug for about a month now.

It’s stiff enough to lay flat on hardwood floors nicely & doesn’t bunch up , but I use mine under dining room table , so no need for me to take it up for cleaning. It’s not scratchy .
