Fit perfect in the space my cat jump on my old one and destroy it
These are nice; a little less sturdy than I would like but fine for the price.
I love Safavieh products, however I think the Etagere might need a cross bar as I could not prevent it from slightly swaying after assembling. It is a lovely piece but not the most sturdy.
Love the style and look, but unfortunately over time, the weight of books took its toll on this book shelf.
I was looking for a narrow shelf for a small place in my office and this fit the bill perfectly. I use it to display brochures and decor. Great addition.
Ordered this bookcase for the look and the supposed sturdiness claimed by other reviewers. In my case, the etagere leans when loaded with books even though all screws are securely tightened. It's a shame...
There are a lot of ladder-style bookcases for sale and I happened to choose this piece for the medium toned wood that would have matched the style of my existing furniture. When the item arrived, I was a bit disappointed because the finish is definitively darker than what is pictured. If you're familiar with an Espresso colored finish- that is what this product looks like in actuality. If the photo had been accurate, I never would have purchased because there are many other bookcases in that color that are more economical than this piece., ,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, Also, the wood is unfinished in the areas where the shelves join to the left and right tall supports. (It's left a very light maple color which contrasts sharply with the espresso finish.) If the drilled holes are not 100% correctly aligned and the shelf is a bit off, you can see the unfinished bits in the not-flush joints., ,,,,,,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, All being said, the scale of this piece is nice; more substantial than a lot of the ladder-shelves you can find similar in style. It feels sturdy once assembled. If you don't mind a dark finish and can get a discount on the price, it would be worth it. I'd consider $XXX(incl. shipping) to be a fair retail price for this piece.
