In my bedroom, with the lighting, the rug was a little darker than in the overstock photo. My rug was not as gray looking as another reviewer's photo. It is thick and seems to be well made. I am very happy with my purchase.
This is a neutral and very elegant rug. The pattern is beautiful and intricate and it looks like the kind of thing you might see in a West Elm catalog (in my opinion). However, a couple things prevented me from rating it 5 stars: (1) In person, it's darker than it looks online. You can see from the review photos, the main color is a medium grey, not really the soft, pale beige in the photo. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I was disappointed since I wanted something lighter to contrast my dingy grey couch. (2) It's not exactly 8x10'. It's 10' long but it's about 3" short on the width. Last, not really a con per se, but the feel of the rug is a little scratchy underfoot. To be expected with a wool rug, but something worth considering if you're looking for something soft and plush.
