I purchased these for my dining and living rooms. They are gorgeous and pull my colors together. They feel good under our feet and give an elegant feel to the rooms. There is a little wool shedding, but it isn't major.
I bought this rug for my LR, despite the comments about the rug shedding, and dull colors compared to pictures. I have not found any excessive shedding, and u think the colors are beautiful.....i bought the green multi. What i did experience was that the design pile is higher than the background pile, so it feels a bit awkward underfoot, but i got used to it quickly. I'm very happy with my purchase.
This is a rich, thick, textured, beautiful rug. Yes, it sheds. All of my 100% wool rugs shed. I find it worth the extra junk in my vacuum. I love Safavieh rugs as they are a quality, rich product at a reasonable price-point. This rug does not have a silky smooth feel, so it could be considered a bit scratchy if you plan on laying on it. The rug was well wrapped and shipped beautifully.
I bought a Safavieh rug less than two years ago for a bedroom with very little traffic. It measures 10 x14. The rug did an extraordinary amount of shedding. Now it is developing random holes. I called the manufacturer who provided absolutely no help. The do not back their product. To anyone considering purchasing a Safavieh rug. DON'T. RUN A FIND A QUALITY PRODUCT.
The images of this rug showed bright-ish colors, however, they are more washed out, and the "navy" is more grey than blue. The colors do not work at all in the room I bought them for, but the return policy says that if you don't like the colors, you have to pay the return shipping, and these guys are heavy (=expensive shipping). Also, since this weave of rug has two different heights of yarns, it is hard for a vacuum to clean it very well. The longer yarns keep the bristles from making good contact with the shorter yarns. They seem to be good quality rugs, I've only had them for two or three weeks, but the COLORS were SEVERELY DISAPPOINTING. I wish it were easier to return for a different one that is brighter and more vacuum friendly.
I loved this rug from the moment it was unpackaged. But, unfortunately it sheds insanely!! Wanted to keep it and vacuumed it frequently in an effort to minimize the shedding over time. I kept it for as long as I could but saw no improvement, so sadly I had to return it 🙁
Was goid at first but over time sheds like crazy vacuuming 2 times a day with shaft and fills up cup several times each time and I'm only one beside my dog and cat which they are kept groomed.. was a good purchase over time but bad shedding and now maybe allergies
