I chose this runner for its relatively short length and color scheme (It had to match stair carpeting the worn center of which it would replace.) The photo looks rather dark, but the rug is bright and very gold in color. Another unexpected feature is a velvety texture. It seems thinner than the runner it was replacing. I actually would have liked a 5' long runner. However, because this runner is thin, I was able to fold the extra length under and nail it to the front of the bottom stair. I don't love this rug, but it will be fine and serves my needs.
The quality of the rug is excellent. The color according to the description red and gold. The border is sage. There is no gold color. I would"ve returned it and only due to the fact of the color. Returning is difficult so I did not. The price and quality are excellent. L.C. Attleboro MA
I bought the runner for my hall, but was too short. Decided to put it in another area and it fits perfectly. Ordered the longer runner for my original hallway. I also have the large rug coming for my living room. Very pleased with the color it brightens up my home and gets complements from all who visit.
I didn't give this one 5 stars like the other reviewers. Here's why: there is a slight defect in the border on one end, but nothing I can't live with and I didn't want to return it. Also, it's a big short for a runner. I did not end up using it where I had originally intended because of the shorter length. I have it on a landing between the 1st and 2nd floor and I actually like having a runner there where I didn't before. Also, I knew the rug was synthetic (as reflected in the price) but it has a bit of a sheen which to me screams "synthetic" whereas another synthetic rug I own is of a higher quality and looks wool. The color on this runner comes off as more blue than gray. I have neutral, grayish taupe walls (Revere Pewter is the color) and the runner def looks blue to me. The border is a yellowish ivory, not a light ivory. The up side is it apparently is very easy to clean as the tag on the back says, vacuum and if soiled, wash off with a garden hose! That strikes me as odd as the rug is not advertised as an indoor/outdoor rug. Anyway, it's not in a high traffic area so it should stay nice and clean.
