I purchased the 6x6 rug. It is hard to find a square rug that is stylish. This was a nice thick fluffy rug. You need to use a rug pad underneath otherwise it will slide around. It does shed and need to be vacuumed frequently. It did not stand up to the pets ( 100 lb labrador and 15 lb cat) and after several rounds of cat hairball vomit, the pile has worn down in the areas that I had cleaned.
I bought the 6'7" square for my dining room that has a 43 inch round table. The fit is perfect. I have the chairs towards the corners and there is plenty of room to pull them out and still have the legs on the corner. There was no chemical smell at all and although the edges kept a curl when unrolled, I just bent them back the other way and they are relatively flat now, after only about 15 minutes. The colors are fantastic, with primarily indigo, teal, and light blue. There are touches of tangerine, hot pink, and a mossy green. Grey, cream, and some black are the neutrals that mellow things out. I have the same rug in orange in my adjacent living room and they look good "next to" each other because they have the same color palette, just in different proportions. I think there is great opportunity to create a nice flow between the two rooms with coordinating accessories. I like the traditional styling but with modern colors. It's a good fit for my 1930's row home and my mid-century/Danish modern influenced furnishing. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Rug arrived quickly and without incident. The base color of this wool rug is an oyster color (grey-ish ivory with a hint of tan), and the pattern contains brown, reddish- brown, blue, camel, and white round and oblong circles. Oval shaped rugs are perfect for extending your seating area without the rug encroaching into your path/walkway like a large sized round rug would. The rounded edges of the oval shaped rug soften angular furniture. The pattern of this rug goes great with mid-century modern, traditional, and transitional furniture styles. The multiple colors easily tie earth tones/neutrals together without clashing with other patterns. It is a soft wool which adds a richness to your to your decor.
