  • Great Look, Nightmare to Put Together
    Verified Purchase

These bar chairs have a great designer look, are very sturdy, ONCE you are able to get them put together. I would qualify my husband as the ultimate handyman, and he had a VERY hard time putting them together. He said holes would not line-up and he had to get very creative on how to fix the problem.

Instructions for assembly= very clear, picture diagrams for assembly, with parts identified in each step. Quality of packing for transit= good. Everything was padded and secure. Screws and bolts came securely packed in a sealed package for each chair. Color= Pretty accurate to what is pictured. The colors are the same, but in real life, the chairs seem a little more "cool" toned instead of the warm brown, but not by much. Looks= GREAT! These chairs are very handsome. The chairs are extremely sturdy and comfortable. I can't believe the chairs are so inexpensive for what you get (compared to the other options O.co offers). The only problem I came upon was during assembly. The first chair took about 45 minutes to put together, because I wasn't keen on what comes next yet, and have big hands in small spaces. The second chair flew by in about 10 minutes for me...until I got to the last step. On the last step I had to screw the back side of the chair to the seat and support bars at the bottom. All was fine, except one of the pegs you put the screw through from the back of the chair into the side supports at the bottom--the peg was too big for the hole it goes into. Luckily, the pegs were made of wood, and I have a hand-wood chisel I'm handy with. The peg was a good 30% too big, but a couple chisels later we were good to go. I don't know if this problem was exclusive to my set of chairs, or if it will be a regular problem for others as well. I'm glad I ordered these chairs, they will last a long time, and look great. Not too boring/the usual bar stool look...and not too weird and crazy. The driftwood finish is great.
