My first time cooking a whole turkey and I found the tray a little loose in the pan and almost dumped the bird on the floor. I thought it was just me being a novice but when my son, who has cooked many turkeys took the bird out of the oven he also remarked that the tray was a little sloppy in the pan. He has a similar tray and pan but his is much more secure in the pan. Overall, now knowing it is a bit loose in the pan I will be more careful in my next use of the pan with tray. Cleanup was a breeze and I am pleased with the purchase.
Nonstick is superb, but ridges on the bottom limit the pan to roasts of turkey, chickens Prime rib, pork shoulder, etc. Keep whatever you are cooking in the oven actually out of the onions, sauces, etc. you want your roasted meats to "participate" with in the dish.
We bought two of these roaster pans and racks so we can cook two small turkeys side by side in our oven instead of one very large turkey. Two small turkeys cook faster than one large turkey. They are substantially built. The pans clean up nicely and we hope to get many Thanksgivings from them.
