I bought this roaster to cook my thanksgiving turkey in, and it is really well made, and plan to use it in the future for roasts and lasagna and chicken. The last time I made a turkey I bought a tin foil pan in the supermarket and it is too thin and flimsy to hold a turkey and get the pan out of the oven, this is so much better! I cooked a 14lb turkey in it, and came out perfect, the juices go on the bottom of the pan, and the rack holds the turkey good, I don't own a dishwasher, and this pan was easy to wash, and I plan to use often.
Used it once. Found the clean up to be pretty simple. Heavy duty. I'll be curious to see how it holds up. Owners Manual says that it is safe "up to 450." I cook a lot of stuff at 500, so... ??? I've never heard of a pan that can't go in a 500 degree oven.
I had used a *** roasting pan prior to this purchase. I haven't cooked very much in terms of turkeys, chickens until I bought this roaster. I just wanted to upgrade and it did seem to make a difference in evenly roasting. It washed beautifully in the dishwasher and I'm glad I learned how to roast a turkey. I've also used the bottom as a casserole dish and it turns out perfectly. I watched the price and got a good deal as I compare all the sites that I can prior to purchasing. I don't think you'll regret this purchase.
