I was looking for a recliner that would fit in my RV. It had to be narrow due to the slide-outs. This one fits perfectly. It is comfortable and appears well made for the price. Probably a little small for sleeping on unless your 5'2" but am 6'0" and it reclines perfect for watching TV.
Before purchasing this item I had noticed that some people found it difficult to assemble. The only problem I had was fixing the back to the seat, which took a couple of attempts. However once I it in the right angle, it was a breeze! Except for this issue it was easy to put together by following the instructions. The chair has three positions, all of which are comfortable.
This is a nice chair for the price. Once I added a couple of pillows to pad it out it's comfortable. The chair is beige(thank goodness) not white as some reviews have stated. The chair has to be assembled it took the 2 of us about 25 minutes from start to finish.
My husband insisted that buying furniture on-line without seeing it or being able to sit on it was a huge mistake. Boy was he wrong! This furniture set is better than any we saw in stores. The color is great. They are super comfy and the quality is fabulous! We couldn't be happier.
I ordered this sofa and I am really impressed so far. The comfort level of it is better than a lot of higher priced models that have less amenities. The ends have flip top pockets that are large enough to lose your house cat in. This system is the easiest to put together of any that I have run across that ship in a separated configuration . Just line it up and push it together. Trust me its easier than your kids lego's to assemble.
Overall a very solid chair at an incredibly reasonable price. The chair was super easy to put together and looks excellent in my family room. I got the Natural Dark Beige Color and it goes excellently with my beige IKEA sofa which you can see in the picture. It is not the most comfortable recliner in the world (it is a bit firm) but with a down 18" x 18" pillow you get some nice back support and the chair is pretty solid.
Compared to the full size recliner in my living room, this one didn't seem sturdy enough but after using this in my home office and sometimes even sleeping on it all night for several weeks, it is well up to the task. I would have loved it more had the chair was a tiny bit wider but overall it's very comfortable. The other thing I've noticed is that even after tightening that knob, sometimes the chair will still slip and recline a little. I'm sure some have noticed this.
I swore I'd never buy a recliner! But, I wanted something to elevate my aching feet and an ottoman would take up more space in my small living room. Then I saw this chair and it's a perfect complement to my mid-century modern sofa. I purchased the dark gray which seems a bit darker than the photo, but I am OK with that. Being just 5'1", the seat is deep for me in a regular sitting position, but fine once I recline and the footrest is up, so I use a pillow at my back if I'm not reclining. This is a firm chair, but not uncomfortable, and it may soften up a bit with more use.
Love the chair, with two caveats: a little small and reclines deeply enough to make it a non-ideal corner chair. At 75 inches the chair is just a little small for me, and my most comfortable recline position forces me to keep the chair further out from the wall than I'd like (but I didn't like the prices on wall-hugger options). Sometimes won't hold the recline position but pulling up one leg changes the center of gravity enough to compensate. Good bang for the buck.
Purchased two chairs. Easy to put together but takes two people. These chairs have firm seat cushion which we like very much. Offers good back support. The leather looks deep and rich. I wish the legs reclined to a higher position rather than the back reclining further back for the second position. However, I would recommend these chairs as they are very comfortable. Great purchase!
I absolutely love this seating for my game/ theater room. They work great, look great, and it is super comfortable. All of my guest that came over yesterday loved them!! My 2 very pregnant sisters were very comfortable in them too!!! The cons in my opinion is that it came with almost no instructions on how to put it together and there was nothing online to assist with it either. The light strip on one of the sections was attached in the wrong direction but they are only held on with black zip ties so I snipped those and flipped it around re zip tied it and it was fine. That alone caused about 10 minutes of confusion of how it went together. The brackets that hold the love seat portion together need to be moved out all the way to the largest setting so that they can be affixed together and have enough room to put a hand inside the armless one and be able to use the lever. All of the power bars can be attached together so that the stage right chair can turn the lights on for each of the chairs. Each of the chairs do have to be plugged into a power strip in the back. I hope this helps anyone trying to put this thing together. I super love this purchase and it's pretty much my favorite thing I've gotten on overstock.
We are 5'5" and 5'7" tall and of average weight and bought two chairs. We found the cushions to be slightly firmer than our previous, similar, chairs, but still comfortable. The cushions also hold you in a little at the sides, which is cozy. There are fixed reclining positions, but they allow enough adjustment for personal preferences, and it goes far back enough for a nap. One concern we had about the chair was its reported affinity for lint. Lint does show on it, but not nearly as much as I expected (we do not have pets.) A visitor wouldn't even notice a problem, but I brush it off with a lint-free cloth, or use a lint-roller on it every few weeks. We use the swivel function maybe once or twice a month & only when the chair is empty so I can't judge how durable that is. Overall, we are really enjoying the chairs and use them every day.
I wanted pushback recliners so I can easily vacuum under the chair. Silly, maybe, but I have found virtual landfills under recliners that are never moved. These were very easy to assemble and look really clean and comfy in my living room.
This chair was inexpensive on sale so I wasn't sure what to think since we couldn't sit in it before purchasing. But, happily, it is quite a nice piece. The chair is not bouncy-it doesn't have springs--but it is very soft and firm at the same time. When you sit in it, it's a little harder than you expect it to be but it is comfortable all the same. The size is just right. I don't like giant squishy chairs with giant arms that take up the whole living room. This chair is a good size for anyone to sit in. My son is six feet tall and 210 pounds and he likes the chair a lot. The only thing that makes me not give it five stars is when you put the chair back to its upright position it is a little difficult and tends to slide on our hardwood floor. Reclining the chair is easy and the footrest comes out really quickly with a springing pop. But to put it back down you have to just push on it with your legs and click it back into place. That's a little more difficult and makes the chair slide. So, just a few quirks to get used to. Other than that it came in good time in a box that was still in tact and was easy to install. Just put the back on the body and you're done. I would recommend this chair for anyone who needs a quick extra piece of furniture that's comfy.
Got this for my dad for Christmas. He has trouble walking and his previous recliner failed to recline anymore and was very low and hard to get in and out of. he loves this chair because it is higher off the ground and therefore easier for him to get up and down. He was even able to pay the guys a few bucks to take away the old chair which we had planned to do for him. He is very happy and says he feels like a King in this chair! I told him hubby is my prince charming but my daddy will always be the king! I'm so glad I made this investment. Worth every penny to make him happy.
I bought this chair becaue we haven't been happy with the recliners available locally for a similar cost. This chair has so far, exceeded our expectations. The seat is high off the floor and the back is very tall which allows for excellent comfort for 6' tall person. The cushion is very supportive and firm on the seat and there's plenty of cushion on the back of the chair to provide lumbar support and the perfect pillow for your upper back and shoulders. The fabric is soft and seems durable. I definitely recommend Scotchguarding it. The chair didn't smell when we rec'd it so we didn't need to air it out. Assembly was easy and the arms weren't wobbly from shipping. The arms are substantially wider than I thought they would be (around 6 inches or more across?). The stain is a deeper red but not quite mahoghany. The chair has a hefty weight to it (close to 90 lbs.) and it doesn't feel like you would flip over when you fully recline. I have been able to lay almost completely flat in this chair and it's wonderful.
This chair (in gray and wood stain) is vesatile and modern enough to use in a masculine or feminine interior - just chane the paint. We have a gold living room with color block rug in gray, black, red and gold and it's a perfect fit. You could go modern, arts & crafts, mission style - it would work in all.
If you're not sure, try it. You can return the product to Overstock with a return UPS tag. If I had more room I would buy another one. I give this chair a 100% so far, we'll just have to see how it wears.
This recliner arrived in about two days and was well packaged. Setup was a breeze--about 15 minutes with most of that time taking it out of the box and unwrapping it. (Read the one page instruction sheet--there is a strap preventing the chair from reclining during shipping that needs to be removed for normal use) I would describe the color as tan. The material is soft and feels good against the skin. The arms are dark brown, almost black.
This chair is super comfortable. I'm about 5'6", average build and the proportions are just right. The leg rests stop at the ankles, my head rests on the back cushion, and there is adequate lumbar support. Taller people may not be quite as comfortable. The seat part is firmer than the back so I expect the chair to hold up well to use.
What I really like is the smooth reclining motion. There are no latches or levers, just push back on the seat back and slide forward with your butt (you will have to push on the armrests to get leverage). There are two "locked" positions--closed mode like a normal chair and reclined mode with leg rests out 180degrees and seat back about 30degrees from vertical. I find the reclined position ideal for watching TV, reading, or napping.
There is an "extra reclined mode" that puts you almost completely flat (think business class on a plane). However, you have to use your weight to keep it in this position. I find that I just need to sit a little higher in the chair to achieve this. It's a very small annoyance but i don't see myself needing to lie flat too often.
Another thing I like is that when closing the chair from the reclined position, the motion is smooth, quiet and takes little effort. Other recliners I've used require an extra kick at the end to lock it in place--this chair will snap back in place. The design is well done.
Overall, I really like this chair. The style and color match the clean, modern look I have in the rest of the living room. The mechanics of the chair is superb and the seating is very comfortable.
I wanted a small recliner that would fit in the corner of the living room. This chair fit perfectly. It's not the most comfortable recliner I've ever sat in, but it is good enough to read a book in or watch television for an hour or so. The quality of the chair is okay, not as good as a LaZBoy, but this chair is less than half the price, so it's a good value.
Great chair! I had to upgrade my 10 year old from his toddler spongebob chair, that he was a bit too attached to, and get him a big boy chair. It took lots of convincing because he loves that tiny, dirty chair but he is quickly starting to fall in love with this chair. He doesn't use the reclining feature because he doesn't weigh enough to keep it reclined, nor does he use the foot rest because it is very difficult to put the footrest back in, even for me. It's easiest when it's up against the wall but my son's chair is in the middle of the floor.
Nice Christmas present. Doesn't take up too much space in his tiny room.
Overall, it's a great, comfy chair! Perfect for a growing child. I hope it lasts as long, if not longer, than his toddler chair. That thing is 8 years old and it's still in great shape, minus the dirt. 😬
First review I'm writing, ever. I must because this chair is so perfect. We needed something very compact to go in our new condo. These fit that requirement but feel plenty roomy. They have a nice tailored look. I'd have to call them classy, bottom line. Husband rarely raves about anything but he's very fond of this choice I made, including the color. Cream lightens the space, They rock and swivel as well as recline. There are only two parts so assembly is very easy. Delivery within a few days. Great chair, great company.
First off, the color of the recliner is not even close to the picture. The color in the advertised photo is much, much lighter then the actual color. The only way I can describe the real color is of a coffee with just a bit of cream or if you can see the online photo with the horse in the right lower corner, that brown is close to the real color. I'm sad that the color isn't more true to what I saw when I ordered. The chair is also very firm, but I'm sure it will become more comfortable with use. Love the style of the chair, just the color is not all that great.
Very nice chair once assembled. Comes in large 63lb box. So I unboxed it exactly where it was dropped off and moved the pieces to where it was going to be placed. The directions are straightforward and the assembly is straight forward.
However, due to the padding on the furniture, you have to pull the pieces together to make the screw holes align. Three days later my left hand still hurts because I had to use my hand like a vice grip. If you're going to get this make sure you have 2 people to help move the box and assemble. Once put together, it's a very nice chair. The leather is super soft, the chair is very comfortable, great back support and I'm 5'9". The swivel base is very smooth and the ottomans are very nice. Takes up a small space for such a comfy/recliner chair. I wish it reclined a bit more. The recline mechanism is a bit clunky but it works. I guess I was expecting a bit more, and assembly was rough - took 3 hours to assemble two of these chairs by myself, get help - but they are nice, they are comfortable, the leather is nice, they look nice....
We searched forever for a griege-ish colored comfy chair. I am sitting in it right now in our living room, it's very firm, a little too firm, but still comfortable. Love the rocker aspect. The recliner functionality is a little rough. It works, but I struggle getting the footrest back down. The price is so insanely cheap, it's easier to overlook the two aforementioned issues. One of the things I questioned was the handle, it doesn't bother me that it's visible the way our chair is set up. It would go with many styles and not just in nurseries ;)
Overall I am pleased with this purchase having been the first time ordering furniture off a website without having to try it out in the store first. The delivery time was not too bad being about 5 weeks from the time of order. The delivery service was fantastic. They were right on schedule, called the morning of to confirm, delivered it up one flight of stairs and assembled it perfectly.
In regards to the furniture itself, it is pretty comfortable. The seats are a little shallow on this set and wish they were a little longer in the seat area. The feel is a little firm as well, but seems to be getting softer as the leather breaks in. The leather is the best part of this set - it is nice and thick feeling and should last a long time.
A few cons: this is not a zero clearance set - they need to be out from the wall about 8 inches or so to fully recline, so be prepared for that in thinking of your room setup. Also, the foot rest on the recliner is a little short and wish is was longer. At 5'10", I find my feet hanging off the end a little. Not bad, but just keep just to make one aware. Finally, the color is much darker in person than the website. It is a very dark brown, almost close to black.
I would recommend this set as the quality seems top notch and think the set will last.
I purchased TWO of these swivel recliners and let me tell you, these recliners are the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in! They are genuine leather, and come with the lumbar support feature, and ottoman! Both my husband and myself absolutely LOVE these chairs! I’ve seen these chairs at other retailers and they were much more money than what Overstock offered them for! You won’t be disappointed in these chairs, I promise! They are worth every penny! And, I honestly can’t say anything negative, except maybe, I’d wish that the ottoman would also swivel! But, that’s no biggie!
The chair arrived fast...I tried to put it together myself - bad idea... One side of the back of the chair I got lined up on the track but then it locked that side in place and the other side was completely off the track. And myself alone could not got it off the the track to start over. Called the company that made it and they were really helpful and then my friend haloed me - he pulled the back of the chair up while I sat in the chair - after a couple tugs and him pulling out the tab instead of pushing it it in - it came unlocked and we finally got both sides of the track at the same time. Now the chair is shower comfy
My boyfriend wanted a big and comfortable recliner and he is a big guy (6'5" and over 240), so big and comfortable was not easy to find. Ordered this one and he loves it! Plenty big for him (a little short for his legs, as his feet hang off the end...but that was to be predicted)!
