We bought this chair for my mother in-law. She is 85 and just had hip surgery. The chair is absolutely perfect. The arms are solid and can be used securely to assist in and out of the chair. You can use the arms of the chair not the legs to recline or lift out of the chair. Extremely comfortable for back and hips! The chair reclines so far back one could sleep in it. You will need to have some distance away from the wall for full recline. I have set in this chair and have had lower spine fusion surgery, and I want this chair! Excellent chair for an elderly person. It is easy to get in and out of the chair. The color is a nice color. Picture is what you get. I have a friend who has this chair, but in a different fabric and different maker, they have had it for at least three years with no problems. If you need more than this chair you'll need a power lift chair.
I hemmed and hawed over buying this chair for a long time. Hard to decide on a piece like this, at this price, from only a photo. I pulled the trigger.. It is a BIG chair. Be sure to really understand it's measurements before you purchase. It takes up a lot of space. The chair itself is good quality. It was easy to do the small amount of assembly needed. The box shipped weighs 123 lbs! Be aware of this as well. Comfort is good. Lots of room. The USB charging feature is great. Only design flaw for me was the leg rest only goes straight out, not lifting your legs higher than the seat, as some recliners do. I wish I'd realized this factor. The back-rest I find supportive and really comfortable. All in all happy with the purchase.
My Mother purchased this recliner to assist her in not only reclining, but getting to her feet. It has proved to be a wonderful aid. The chair material feels soft, and is very comfortable to relax in.
