This was bought for my polio-handicapped husband who has a bad back from breaking it in 1996. He says that the lumbar support is perfect for his back. It is not a heavy chair though, so if it is not sitting on a carpet, it tends to slide back when he sits down in it. We moved the front legs onto the area rug, so they are not on the hardwood floors. This helped. The chair is a nice size for his broad shoulders. He is only 5 ft. 8 tops, so it would not fit a tall man when they have it fully reclined. The style is more stylish than most recliners and fits in with our other furniture and dressier Farmhouse Chic Style decorating. The color is a med to dark brown, but not as dark as chocolate.
Bought this for a good deal. It's a great buy for a small chair. I doubt it will last long, but is easy to recline. Would be great if you could lift the legs up without reclining the back but it is what it is. I got it in taupe tweed which is a great color for my farmhouse look. If you hate overstuffed recliners and want something with a classic look- this is perfect.
