This was the last set available. I was pleased to find it on Overstock. The quality of bone china is not the best. Quality control not best either, 1 dinner plate it 3/4 in. smaller than the other three, couple of of edges are irregular. This set will be ok for back up dishes.
These are very nice dishes. They are thinnish and thus lightweight but I have yet to have break. They are standing the rest of time. Nice simple white. Good if you want a clean, plain sort of look.
I'm disappointed in the quality of the china. The texture is not as smooth as some higher quality pieces I have, and after two years of light use, many are badly stained.
I purchased this dinnerware set quite a while ago. It has been very resilient with daily use. It does get quite warm if using it to microwave. One of the dinner plates has a dull finish on it now, probably due to overuse. Overall pleased with product especially because there have not been any chips or cracks
So far I love this dinnerware set and purchased additional plates and platters to start building my collection. Very lightweight and beautiful. I love the clean lines.
This does appear to be genuine bone china....barely. Please keep in mind what qualifies as "bone china" is different in different countries. I would recommend researching this topic if you are interested. It is quite fascinating. When I saw the design of the bowl my heart sunk. The top edges flair out slightly. Some people may like the design. I personally thought it detracted from the simplicity of the design. I returned this item and went with a different set.
We love this set. I wanted a pure white for everyday and found the ceramic ones all scratch or are not a true white. This could not have been better for the money.
I needed some inexpensive white dishes and these were about right. The salad plates are pretty small, and one weird thing is that the dinner plates are kind of tippy--if you try to cut anything on the edge of the plate, it goes sideways on you. Other than that, they're good.
These dishes are just liked they described. Lightweight, but good quality
Love this China. So strong, it withstands dropping. The neutral color is great for everyday or special occasions.
