I ordered and received the Steel Kitchen Rack (pot holder). I planned on installing it over our kitchen sink which had a window plant section overlooking the sink as well. The unit was fairly easy by myself to put up. I triple checked my markings to make sure all the screws would go into a stud. They all did and I feel extreme confidence that the rack will not at any time fall from too much weight. The rack looks great, is unobtrusive to the eye, and is a great addition to the kitchen. It frees up the largest cabinet for so many new storage ideas.
I couldn't find studs in the area I needed, so I screwed up a big piece of wood and then this to that hunk of wood. It STILL looks awesome! I love the finish that matches my stainless steel appliances and this has freed up my cabinets! It's sturdy and beautiful!
Unfortunately, I could not hang this pot rack. Because this rack does need to be hung into wall studs in order for it to be sturdy enough to handle the weight, but does not take into consideration that wall studs are Not the 16 inch on center as they are suppose to to in construction there will always be variations, depending on the "contractor" . ( mine was an inch off) It would be great if there were additional holes in the steel unit that provided for this problem.
