Do NOT waste your $$. Have had this for 2 years and have to replace the headboard rails 3 times. It cracks and the bed falls off frame. I bought the King for the King mattress but it appears it doesnt hold up! Very, very disappointed. I didnt even want to give it 1 star but they won't post without it.
Bad quality, frame very weak. It does not hold the weight of a king mattress
The bed is very nice and sturdy. However the side rail came damaged. There was damage to the box . The rail has a gash in it right where the box was.
This bed is beautiful and very sleek. However, it is quite wobbly and although it's made of real wood, it's not very thick so I am concerned that over time it will crack or warp especially in my environment. I live in Florida so it's pretty humid. Appearance wise I give it a 5 but durability I give 3 stars.
This was over priced for the quality, the bed is absolutely terrible. It is EXTREMELY wobbly, even on a carpet, and with everything tightened as much as possible. We splurged for this, and I am very disappointed. We are now out *** and cannot sleep at night due to the way the bed moves and are possibly going to have to put the mattress on the floor.
We are very happy with our bed. We were a little reluctant to chose a bed online and have that be the one, but it worked out. It was pretty easy to put together and is very sturdy. I love the extra storage and height. We do have a tall mattress and have opted to keep out box spring so our bed is VERY tall so we may mix the box spring at some point. Great purchase.
We only opened the box containing the headboard and found it scraped and/or nicked in multiple places. We also noticed that the vertical and horizontal boards that create the panel effect had gaps between them as they were all cut too short. The gaps were filled with clumped lacquer. My husband enjoys woodworking and notices poor workmanship. The box had a slip in it telling us to contact the manufacturer instead of the seller. When you call the 800# an answering service advises you that it is better to email the company. If you leave a message you wouldn't get a callback for 7 to 10 days. The slip also brags about their excellent customer service?? Thankfully Overstock has a simple return process where you can print out the return shipping labels, repack your item, and contact for pick up or deliver it to UPS. We are only charged for the return shipping. Do not buy this bed frame. The one star is for Overstock's return process.
I bought this bed for the storage and bought the 2 additional drawers separate. The instructions were not as detailed as they could have been, but I put it together myself with no problems. The bed frame is wood and the slat system created a sturdy foundation. The drawers are great for storage, but they don't have a guides so they are free-floating. All in all this bed's quality is good and I would recommend for anyone looking to incorporate storage.
