I was a little disappointed there are scratches on the metal. I was able to put it together by myself. It was relatively easy to put together. Instructions were easy to follow. Seems very sturdy once put together. Purchased for our spare bedroom for our grandsons when they come over to stay. Would have given more stars if not for the scratches which are right on the front side.

I would say this is a good temporary solution. You get want you pay for. It's cheap, it takes about 2 hrs to set up, it's going to be smaller than you think. But the price is right.

I bought this bunk bed for my girls since we had to downsize to a smaller apartment. I'd definitely recommend for functionality and not beauty. It's sturdy enough for my 4 and 9 year old. I especially like that it was not very high as the girls room has a low ceiling. Also the lower bed is low to the floor and it allows my 4 year old to get on and off without any difficulties. Especially since she's afraid of heights. I would recommend for a right now bed but not for a forever bed.
