While it does send a blast of pressurized air through your pipes, it doesn't clear the pipes "permanently" as a snake might. I had a badly clogged toilet. I tried the BAAM three times. Each time it got a little better. It may have successfully "pushed" the blockage a little further down the pipe drain each time I used it. Yet, the toilet still plugged up again after a few uses. Now I just have to find out what Overstock's policy is on returns ;-)
I first borrowed a generic tool from a friend. The pipe would not stay stationary in the vice part, regardless of how much I tightened the screws. The Ridgid tool really did the job. Pipe did not slide at all, and it made perfect flares.
