Nice as a decoration but I give it only 4 stars bc as far as functionality I wouldn't depend on this item as a timer bc the sand gets stuck in the middle. My 6 year old likes to flip it over quit often and probably would even have found this out if it wasnt for her. But yes overall a good.purchaee and it is much bigger than I thought
