Great value
I feel like I got a steal deal on this when I find out what other people have spent on much cheaper looking and feeling coffee tables. This is substantial, it has weight to it and if assembled properly is as solid as one could expect for a coffee table of its size. I wouldn't want to sit on it because I might fall though it, but other than that it's solid, especially compared with other coffee tables at the same price point. Apparently $* doesn't buy much more than a couple flimsy pieces of chipboard held together by glue and a prayer these days, but this doesn't give that feeling at all. The only issue is the gloss finish, so far it's still looking fine but I think over time it's going to get scuffed and start to show signs of wear. But for what I paid, I'm not too worried about it.
